You fire at him as he charges. He swats the first arrow aside easily with his sword. The second one hits him, but doesn't stun him. He points his sword at you, grinning, and says playfully "Seems I found my first target. Luckily for you, a few spells hit him, and he decides to go for you. The two of them barrel into the group, taking down a couple just from momentum. Garth swings his axe, and goes into a double spin, killing a couple of your allies. Zen stabs one, pulls his sword out and chops another mage's wand. A couple more spells hit the two of them, and you can see a bunch of people casting a spell right now.

You hit Garth twice. He yells loudly, and charges straight at you... through about 6 people, who fail to keep him down. A few spells hit him midcharge. Before he gets to you, he's suddenly lifted up into the air. People start clearing out of the way before he falls.
Sara "You. Zen, I believ your partner called you. Get the hell out of here before you suffer the same fate."
Zen grins "My dear. I told you before. I think the two of us shall fight." He starts running at her, stabbing a mage who gets in his way. Suddenly, he's entrapped within a box of energy. His companion slams into the ground, seemingly not moving.
Sara grins "It seems that we have won."
Zen "Appearances can be deceiving."
You notice that Zen, despite being in the box also appears to be behind her. No one else, as far as you know has noticed.
Sara "You. Zen, I believ your partner called you. Get the hell out of here before you suffer the same fate."

You yell out to her, while casting Dancing Flames. Your spell activates, and Zen strikes an illusion. He stumbles backwards, burned.
Zen "What is this?!"
Sara turns around, and throws out her hand, yelling something. A streak of electricity emits from her hand and hits Zen, blasting him backwards.
Meanwhile, Garth hits the ground, not injuring anyone. He struggles for a minute to get up, as zen does as well.
Zen says to Garth "These guys aren't worth it. Let's go back to the fort. The two of them dash forward, through the crowd of mages, getting out before anyone can react.
Sara "Stop them!"

Alright. You and the other mages take chase. As you eat the herb, the other mages start casting spells. Suddenly, the women in the red dress from earlier appears in front of all of you. A barrier appears, blocking the spells cast. She holds up her left hand, and a large ball of fire appears, and shoots forward, hitting in the middle of the group of mages and explodes. You are sent flying forward. You can block some of the damage with will power if you wish (it won't kill you regardless, but it'll do a lot of damage) and you can act.

The fireball wiped out about half the remaining party (12 mages left including you and Sara)
You heal yourself.
She laughs.
"You desert rats are sooo pitiful. Have fun with my little pet."
She snaps her fingers, and a circle of runes appears in the sand in front of her. The runes glow, and a strange creature appears in the circle. It's about 6 feet tall, bipedal. It has four claws, and a long spiked tail. It has horns on its head, and its teeth are long and jagged. Its eyes are blood red. It grows furiously.
"Bye now." She touches her necklace and vanishes. The runes stop glowing, the creature still growling.
Garth and Zen are basically gone by now.
Sara takes out an orb, and chucks it into the air and snaps. The orb sends out an explosion of fireworks.
"We have to leave now." She says to the remaining mages. "That thing is a demon. RUN FOR IT!"
The creature roars and runs straight at the group who has just begun to scatter.
Want to cast anything or just run for it?
