Alice casts fireball twice as Tiberius begins to run back and to the left. The first fireball misses directly, but the explosion still hits, as Tiberius slows slightly to cast Pila Alba (75 damage). The explosion sends him flying not able to land upright(75 damage) The second fireball hits dead (125 damage) on as he stands up and casts the second Pila Alba (90 damage)

I'll charge straight up the hill and drink a tonic.

Alice casts fireball twice. The fireballs land in front of him, he runs through the explosion, managing to stay intact albeit hurt badly (150 damage), and on balance, to keep running. He downs the tonic

I'll dive-tackle the ***** and start punching the **** out of her.

If she goes for the dirk, I'll try to take it from her, or at least grab her arm before she can reach it.

Alice casts Fireball at point blank range, and casts it again if at a decent range. She moves away from Tiberius.

I'll tackle her again and try to pin her down, punching her. If possible, I'll grab her dirk from her cloak and stab her with it.

Alice casts fireball, exploding, hitting both for 150. Tiberius is sent flying. Both players stand up, dazed by the explosion. Tiberius charges, and Alice starts to cast fireball, but the distance isn't great enough, and the fireball hits, just as Alice is being tackled, and the fireball explodes, hitting both.

"Congradulations to both of you. You both qualify for the season. From now on, you can access the arena shops, training, the lounge (to talk to people) You have two months to qualify in the top 10%. I'll expain about training, and how often you can fight.

You may only take as much training as you have earned points in combat. Training costs are as such.

-1pts for 10gp.
-25pts to increase one stat by 5. Requires 4hrs.
-25pts to increase HP or MP by 10. Requires 4hrs.
-250 to develop a new stance. Requires 1 day.
-500 points for 1 Manuever or Spell. Requires 3days
-2500 to learn an overdrive. Requires 1 week.

You may challenge up to 5 times per day, and one loss disallows you from challenging any more that day. You have two months, and at the end, if you qualify, you can move on, otherwise, you'll have 3 months until the next season to train for it.

Well that's it. You may get started now. You can talk to your second to get training or to buy equipment for you. Otherwise, you can duel or spend time at the lounge. You can also check the scoreboard to find any ranking position. Only half of the original thousand qualified, so number 50 is the lowest placing rank.

I'll tell Barensia to look at the shops to see what she finds. I'm looking for improvements to my current equipment, a shield, and some armor. Also see what kind of items she can get. As for myself, I'll get 530 GP and go to the lounge to wait for her.

When she gets back I'll get another 2000 GP. She'll buy a chain shirt, a steel javelin, a small elixir, a medium potion, and a small bomb. She can keep whatever's left over, for now. I'll equip those items and the new equipment and sell my old stuff.

They're all in normal clothing, no weapons on them. One has short black hair, the second has long blonde, the third has long brown hair.

The black haired girl them says "Hey, we were talking. Stop bothering us."

The blonde says "Nah, let him sit down. He's sort of cute. I'm Arya."

The brown haired girl says "I'm Mary, and the rude girl over there is Tara."

Arya says "So you're a new gladiator here? This is my second season here. I almost qualified for regionals, but was passed at the last minute. You have me curious now. Want to duel later?"

[Prince Toad]

"Sure, no problem. Are these two gladiators too, or seconds?"

[[sage]]

Arya responds. "Mary's my second. Tara's another gladiator, her second is running an errand? Who's your second?"

[Prince Toad]

"A girl named Barensia. I think she's about your age. I'll introduce you when she gets back from shopping-- she's getting me pretty much an entirely new set of equipment. I think you'll like her. Ah... here she is."

(Enough talking. Ass must be kicked.)

Arya says. "She's cute."

Barensia responds. "And you are??"

Arya chuckles. "My name is Arya. I'm gonna fight your friend here."

She looks at you, smiling. "Since your friend is back with your equipment, wanna duel now?"

"Sure."

I'll put all my junk on, take the new items, and get an arena.
