You walk down the hall into a part of the complex. It appears to be a well-lit lounge. Several assassins are hanging out here in between blood notes, chatting or passing through. One of them, a large, boisterous, long-haired man, stands and greets you loudly.

Man: Ahh! Hello there, lad! A new recruit? First Snow?
Krow: That's right. Name's Krow.
Man: Well, Krow, pleased to meet you. I'm Hargir Blood-Runner, a Flashing Snowstorm here. What can I do for you, lad?

Hargir: Yldor Four-Finger, eh? Hmmm... can't say as I do. Could try checking in with Eysa. She's our savant and spymaster-- she knows everything. At least I've never asked her anything she didn't know. Her office is down the hall. Need anything else, lad?

Hargir: On your way, then.

You walk down the indicated hall and find Eysa's office without much difficulty. She's writing something down as you enter. She glances up and puts down her quill.

Eysa: You're Krow, then?
Krow: Ah... yes.
Eysa: Great, welcome to the Tong. What can I do for you? Want help with your blood note?

Eysa: Yldor Four-Finger... hmmm... hold on.

She delves beneath her desk into a massive collection of files and papers. After some time, she yanks out a sheet with a little writing on it and looks it over.

Eysa: Yldor Four-Finger. Guard. Under the employ of Caldor Meggraln.

She replaces the file and glances up at you.

Eysa: Caldor's part of House Meggraln. He's the Baron of Farbank, a town a good ways northeast of here. If you go to my friend Vargadon Map-Maker, he'll sell you any map you want, pretty much. He even has maps of some cities, though I expect Farbank is too small. Well, anyway, seems Four-Finger's a guard. Not much political intrigue, but we take what we get. Anything else you need?

Krow: Does his file tell of anything else? Family? Status? Anything along those lines would be of great help.

(afterwards I'll just leave, and if I have any money, go shopping)

Eysa: Yeah, says how he got his nickname. Nothing terribly interesting, just bitten off by a dog when he was... nine, is that? Yes, nine. That's about all there is here.
Krow: Okay, thanks.

Yeah, you have money. Wanna check out weapons, accessories, poisons, or items? Or all of them?

Oh... damn. I forgot to put it in, but Aesryl gave you 500 gold as well. You already have an Iron Dagger, although you can buy more if you want, since they can be thrown.

Also, posted your stats on the first page.

Oh, well in that case

1 x Boots of Leaping
1 x Small potion
1 x Basic Thieve's tools
1 x L1 Antidote
1 x Black Cloak

And that should put me evenly at 0, Then I'll start checking out the complex for anything out of the ordinary.
Yeah.

Here's what there is for a First Snow.

First Snow Shop: Sells items, poisons, accessories, and weapons.
Vargadon Map-Maker's Shop: Sells maps of the country, regions, provinces, some cities, even a few more public buildings.
Eysa's Information Desk: The resident savant and spymaster, Eysa has an impressively extensive library of files, most of them beneath her massive desk. She knows a lot about a lot of people and things.
Larborg Wind-Speaker's Shop: Sells mystic instruments for Snowsong.
Gjordi the Snake: Usually hangs out in the lounge, can arrange training matches.
Travel Center: Get horses from Amglir, get a boat ride from Volga the Cunning, or get teleported by whichever Snowskald is on duty.
Bank: Deposit or borrow money. They charge 25% interest on loans, and return 10% interest on withdrawals.

Heh, last thing, I promise. Well... two things, but you can take care of both at once. One, you can go by foot (dangerous, free), horse (less dangerous, 25 gold to borrow or 300 to buy), boat (fairly safe, 50 gold) or teleportation (instant, 100 gold). Two, you probably need a map, unless either you take a boat or the Snowskald has been to and remembers Farbank. A map of Vodefskjal costs 25 gold, and a map of Unskeir Province (where Farbank is) costs 50. He doesn't have any maps of Farbank.

So tell me how you're going to get there and which maps you want to buy, if any. (You'll probably need a map unless you take a boat.) You'll take out that much gold, and have to pay back 25% interest when you return. You can hold off on paying, but each bloodnote you execute without paying, the amount owed is doubled. Don't worry, you'll get plenty of money.

Go borrow enough money to rent a horse and buy both a map of Vodefskjal and one of Unskeir Province, and that should put me at a loan of 100 gold. Then hopefully head out

K, it'll take you two weeks to get there.

Current Mission: Kill Yldor Four-Finger

Day 1: A single bandit attacks you. Neither party is surprised.

BATTLE

Your turn. You go twice this round. Choose moves.

You will heal after battle during trips and after finishing a mission (when you escape safely that is), but you will never heal after battle while you're performing a mission, i.e. sneaking around killing people and stuff.

Double Strike and just a plain old attack

Or if this is doing with respect to location, move adjacent to the bandit and use double strike
