A new beginning to an old game
Well I'm having a few friends and I do a rpg in this thread and before I post the beginning of the story I was wondering if anyone was interested in joining. It will kind of work out like the gunjin. But not only will info be posted on here if you wish to join special info that is either relevant to only you're side or your character will be PMed to you. So I'll be posting intro soon. If you are interested PM me and I will go over details.

The dice roller we will be using is
Dungeons & Dragons Dice Roller
This will be a two character per person system. It will simply have 5 upgrades per person. If you are reading this and have no idea how the system I’m using works PM me and I can tell you how its played. It simple after a bit. Note all of you who I play DD with will note I dislike weapons on chains and direct evil people. Before character creation post PM one to me and I can ok it to make sure its not to overpowered or just beats another character mercilessly. I’ll be somewhat lenient as long as it does not directly interfere with my vision of the world.
We will be using the site
VGF.com/forums
This is a secure site the people on it are pretty cool. So make an account and friend request to me at Chibimod3.
Now at some points I will be PM ing you information. This may only pertain to your party or it may be info only your character has privilege to. So please don’t go sharing that with everyone. I will also be using the same battle reward upgrade system. The whole major minor thing. Remember 2 minor equals one major and you can stockpile upgrades if you like. Now a thing I haven’t done in the past is that I want this to make logical sense. I don’t want you to be in the middle of nowhere and then get a breastplate unless you have an adequate explanation of why you have it.
To Recap:
-2 characters per person I will then group people as I see fit based on the character choices.
-5 starting major upgrades.
As usual I suggest 1 weapon 2 spent on special powers 1 on weapon skill and 1 on a natural ability. Just so you have a well rounded character.
-I would like a written back-story with the character bio PM ed to me and in the first post so everyone has access to it. It will be updated as you’re character levels.
- I don’t expect the posts to be ridiculously long but I would like a little thought put into each one. As you know I’m partial to giving out extra XP to something that I think is unique and is good.
And the hp will use a body part system. Basic parts Head, torso, arm, arm, leg, leg. They each get 3 crit hits or 6 regular and you can calculate accordingly. torso and head get 4. Now you don't auto kill when this happens just seriously wound. And if left unchecked then you will die. A finisher can also be performed if more than 3 are down to one crit. Or chest and head are down to 1 crit. You can upgrade your hp via just upgrading health or armor. Note also you can spare an opponent and can help out an enemy if you want. You can spend a turn stabilizing the seriously wounded person.
Chuekek a refuge found by humanity after war had destroyed their planet. Upon landing on this lush world they were confronted with the Planx. The natives of this world were simplistic and the invaders used their advanced technology to claim dominion over them. Then dividing the world into two resolute classes. The highborn are descendents of the invaders and often continue to rule over the others. In contrast the lowborn are all the descendents the natives. The only way out of the rotten life of a common lowborn was to die or fight for superiority.
In Just’s Rebellion the lowborn revolted against their oppressors. Capturing the capitol of Ralt, or so they believed. They were unaware up until the moment the capitol’s cannons blasted the city into the depths of oblivion. The real capitol lies upon the ship the highborn used to subjugate the filth back in the origins of the war. Lowborn went down to less than filth. Any crime committed by a unlucky soul known as a lowborn was punishable by death.
However advances have been made through this unique partnership. The magic and technological advances have been exchanged letting the two races advance. Any where from the creation of magic imbuing weapons to technology encroaching magic. Its common to see these things everyday now. But it’s rare to see someone talented at crafting the merges between the two.
Now since an easy way to survive is to pillage villages. Roaming bands of bandits took care of the militia easily. The villages then demanded protection so they could contribute the steep tax to the highborn. Thus the creation of mercenary companies was founded to protect the villages in a way legalized by the highborn. The people who join these join to a better life. At least those who live do. Many young men joined just to be cut down by the bandits in battles. there are rumors that some guilds are only lining the pockets of highborn. And that the bandits are all working for a highborn king. Preposterous I say.
Now some highborn don’t believe that they are superior. They believe we are all equal and will use what resources they have to help the needy. Though often looked down upon by other highborn. Not much is done to stop them. None is needed they do not threaten the natural order of things. Except for the bandits who hunt them for their values and the mercenaries paid to protect them. And this men is where you come in to the chess board.
(Excuse the grammar it was typed in a hurry.)

Arm L:3
Arm R:3
Leg L:3
Leg R:3
1:Hasta (weapon)- one handed spear
2:Invisability- limited till moves
3:Lower heart rate- it is difficult to detect him
4:Auto-critical- 2 times per battle
5:Keen eye- see special stuff
ect:
Bio :P art of a nomad group of barbarians. They were generally untouched by the invasion. He was unlike most if not all in his tribe, he was stealthy while his bretheran was more upfront. He was intellegent, to his tribe but average to most peoples standards. He was not that strong, compared to his tribe he was the weakest, but compared to others he is stronger than city dwellers. he is not muscle-bound but is filled with lean muscle. his armor of choice is still the animal skins that his tribe uses. he left tribe in search for a better life. when he eventually met others he was looked down upon for being a lowborn. he does not like to be looked down upon so he wanted to fix that. he met up with a roving group of bandits and fit in perfectally.
Finisher: 1) Svag Saker (Swedish for low gear)- Ingvarr strikes 10 times in a jabbing motion with his hasta. The attack only last about 5 to 8 seconds. each strick is located on the center mass (torso). On the final strike he uses more power than all the other strikes and lodges his hasta into the body cavity of the receiver. He then rips the spear out and closes the the newly deceased eyes. If spairing the person the last strike is with the blunt end into the gut, maybe breaking a bones, knocking out the opponent
(Chris)- here ya go Brett and its up for change. i'll send you the other one later.

The sound of metal on metal, a click, click, click,
-- squeal. The figure approaches from the darkness.
And she wears a friendly smile.
Name: Hyärke die Hakenmonstrumchen
(Alternatively, Hyaerke d. H. for those who don't want to break their brains with the umlaut).
Upgrades
1 (MAJOR - WEAPON): Ultrasharp - Her bladed limbs are well cared for and deadly sharp. A plus to her physical damage, but definitely makes it harder to stealth.
2 (MAJOR - SPEC.): Telekinesis - Her primary magic is her similarly honed mind, and any of her arcane craft is dedicated almost exclusively to the art of moving things with her mind. Admittedly, she could only hit you pretty hard with a soccer-ball sized object at this point.
3 (MAJOR - SPEC.): Familiar - To offset her lack of ability to stealth, she summons a metallic, imp-like creature by the name of Hakkiti that sneaks into small places her form couldn't manage. Hakkiti can:
Pickpocket (level 1), Stealth (level 1), Distract (level 1).
4 (MAJOR - NAT.): Takes One To Know One - Due to her odd racial nature, Hyarke has a fair understanding of the physiology and general tactics for use against the undead and construct-type beings.
5 (MAJOR - GEAR): A Girl's Attire - Curiously enough, her clothing is actually important. Sure, it's just a simple dress and leggings, but this cloth covers parts of her metal body and prevents absolutely -every- movement from creating the noises that come with metal scraping against metal, or hitting any other surface.
FINISHER: Not one for cruel shows of force, she's just likely to pin down her opponent and let them go afterward. No real -finisher- aside from this pinning.
Appearance: Slightly leaning over is the least of the issues making her basic silhouette not that of just any girl around age 17. As she comes into light or turns, it's obvious her legs are bent more in the manner of a goat's, and her entire body is metal. In fact, she is metal from the thin spikes forming her long "hair" and framing her face down to her legs and the blades that flare outward and smooth into a conical shape with hooves at the bottom. Her arms are long and sharp, one of a katana-like nature, the other more like an especially hooked scimitar. The parts of her features that are humanoid make her look like a typical highborn young woman. It would be hard to claim that as her true race though -- she's certainly a confusing mix.
Bio: Once the beloved of a highborn scientist, and a dedicated mentalist growing in her own right, Hyärke had the misfortune of falling to an accident in the lab. The scientist, too worried of upsetting her to tinker with necromantic type magic in life, now dedicated his life to bringing her back. Needless to say, he was not a terribly skilled man, and screwed up the magic so terribly that her body fused with the medical instruments and ritual weapons he had lying about. A sort of undead construct, she could be described as nothing more than an abomination, and the scientist backed out of the deal the fastest way he could -- with a swig of toxic chemical.
Hyärke felt terrible for the poor man's death, but she couldn't honestly remember who he was. Once she found out that she was not what either high or lowborn society expected, she tried to seclude herself -- for her own safety as much as anyone else's. From time to time, and if truly needed, she lends her aid to the most reputable or helpful mercenary company she can find.
Defects:
Well, she's somewhat undead and somewhat construct, so spells or abilities against either group function against her more effectively -- not to the degree they would on a full-fledged ghoul or construct, but all the same.
Personality-wise, she's often too kind and unwilling to fight for her own good, and usually has to be pushed into the offensive.

"We're out of potatoes. ...How are we out of potatoes?
I CAN'T BE UNABLE TO MAKE A POTATO DISH!
HOW DO YOU EXPECT DECENT FOOD WITH NO POTATOES OR SOUP?"
Name: Atha Meddwen
Upgrades
1 (MAJOR – WEAPON??): Soup Ladle – Seemingly normal if... odd, the soup spoon is of the rather large, wooden variety. The wood has a nice polish to it though, and upon inspection is enchanted to deal with a lot of abuse to it.
2 (MAJOR – WEAPON??): Carry-Sized Cauldron – Just small enough for her to carry is a classic matte black cauldron, intricate knot patterns engraved into it. Even though it's small enough to carry well enough, it is metal and would require a fair amount of strength to manage.
3 (MAJOR – SPEC.): And The Kitchen Sink – She spoons out a spell from her empty cauldron. Imagine a typical wizard casting, say, fireball – she casts from her cauldron. The spell consists of a fairly corrosive acid-type magic. Where ever it lands glows a sickly green, but suffers few immediate issues aside from a bit of a scalding from the heat. If it lands on a living organism, it will eventually and ever more quickly eat through the skin or clothing of that person. The glow turns a disgusting yellow once it begins to eat at muscle.
4 (MAJOR - SPEC.): Mama's Cookin' – She spoons out another spell from her cauldron, though this time it provides a healing over time effect on an ally or on herself. The person hit by the healing spell tastes a hint of delicious, freshly-baked brownies. Contact with any part of the person is enough to get this effect.
5 (MAJOR - GEAR): Stain-Proof Apron – Her clothing has a higher chance to deflect attacks that don't critically hit.
FINISHER: Atha splashes the contents of her seemingly empty cauldron on the opponent. The high dose of the toxic spell she normally casts leads to her opponent very possibly being melted, very slowly and excruciatingly.
Appearance: Bright red hair looped, curled and waved in every direction known to man or any gods adds an extra dash of chaos to this relatively short lowborn's appearance. Her figure isn't thin but even her slightly rounded figure combines with her lack of height to make her look less than imposing. A dress with the corset-like top and bustling skirt would look plenty fancy if it weren't plaid and made of a material more akin to old, worn curtains. Her apron is built into the dress and hides part of the corset. The beige, canvas material is plain, but fitted to her figure so it actually adds a layer of protection from the hazards of boiling water or bubbling grease that a cook might actually have to deal with.
Bio: Atha isn't fancy. She's a lowborn cook with a talent for kitchen magic, in every meaning of that term. She was born in a shabby neighborhood and never had money.
Defects:

Upgrades
1: Weapon: trench knife ( esentially a brass knuckle with a knife on top)
2: Weapon: trench knife ( read previous explination. But this one has a tri- tipped blade), if unsure what it looks like just ask me and I'll send a pic of one.
3: Dual wield. ( i'm pretty sure it's self explanitory)
4: Dual strike ( attacks twice in one turn using a one-two combo of either stabs or punches or any combo of the two.
5: Blade-a-rang ( a boomarang with sharp metallic protrusions. Able to hit within a two space area.)
ect:
Bio: He is an odd, yet average looking idividual. He is of obiviously of an Asian desent. He wears a camo outfit complete with a flack jacket and combat boots. His head is shaved but has hair stubble, you know like not completely shaved but still shaved, and his eyes are pretty much just black slits, like Brock's from pokemon. He has a sunny disposition but his eyes are always shifting, not that you can notice. He speaks with a horrible accent making understanding him almst impossible, only being able to make out about one- third of what he says.
He is of native descent making him a lowborn, no that it makes any difference to him. He never stayed in one place for more than a week or so, even as a child. He is on the road constantly, mierly taking the essentials from the traveling merchants, ie food, money, boo's. He has a terrible drinking problem. Which isn't really a problem considering he speaks clearer while drunk, with only the occasional slur or hiccup. He yurns for a chance to be with people like him, the nomadic lifestyle.
Finisher: 1) Wrong! - Sunan rushes the opponent with three quick strikes. 1) Face 2) Gut 3) Face (Other side). He then takes a step back and says (without an accent) "You think that's it" and then punches the opponent in the gut, HARD, and whispers in the the person's ear, "Wrong". If killing the person he quickly to the left thus gutting the opponent. If spairing the opponent he simply let's the now unconsious being crumble to the ground.
( Chris)- here's my second character Brett. Just tell me if there's any problems or anything missing.

No it logged me out right as I finished and tried to submit.
I will put in my bio later for this guy .
Name: Wallace Fatuus
Abilities: 1.Wispy katana : a sword that does not do as much damage as normal katanas when not in the hands of Wallace.
2. Stamina slicer: In the hands of Wallace the weapon cuts leak stamina from the foe that cause will'o flames assigned to the foe to become a bit faster and more violent like a frenzy mode.
3. Will'o flames: Wallace can send parts of the magic in him out to attack and feed off of toher peoples stamina instead of his own yet they are a bit sluggish and can only be exterminated by not reaching the target or being within range of me thus creating an absence of fuel (stamina) and go kapoot. The other way to extinguish the flames is to cause a sharp increase in energy thus flooding out nearby will'o flames.
4. Will'o army: since the flames are slower and do less damage than a normal flame they are not a threat in small numbers, however Wallace can send out as many as he as long as him stamina needed to make them isn't gone thus larger numbers = harder to avoid and can be very quick at eating all stamina if they happen to get ahold of you, the flames can each be assigned to different targets.
5. Energy man: To compensate for the mooching flames in his body Wallace has developed higher energy reserves and can recover stamina faster than normal people.
Defects: Wallace doesn't like to expend unnecesary energy for some tasks, thus he procrastinates sometimes, he hate enthusiastic people for reasons he himself doesn't know, he has a presence that is uncertain as if he is not really there thus people don't listen to him that much. Wallace has high metabolism thus needs to eat a lot.
Finisher: Wispy Apparition- Wallace slices the foe with his Wispy Katana 300 times so incredibly fast that his sword is barely even seen and the assault is over in seconds, after the assault the foe is left without even the energy left to breathe or so much of there energy is gone that their entire body is limp. ; Will-o wisp Barrage- Wallace lets out all the magic left in his body and it engulfs his entire body where he then appears to be a creature made entirely of will-o-wisps he then barrages the foe with a punch where the flames extend like a short ranged flamethrower then he knees the foe in the diaphragm leaving the foe gasping for breath and finishes by picking up the foe by the throat with the right hand and drains all life-sustaining energy from the foe leaving them unconscious where he can choose to finish it off with a slice from the wispy katana in his left hand thus killing the foe.
And here is the bioooo...
Bio: Appearance: 6 feet tall and normal weight for my height, black hair, bluish gray eyes, and a gray cloak, has an appearance that makes him look shady but strangely interesting.
Background: When Wallace was an apprentice to a crafter of magic imbued weapns a horrible accident occured and the identity of Wallace The Wisp was formed. It all happened when he was about 16, his master had been trying to create a new kind of magic to imbue into a very well crafted katana for the past 3 years, it was a magic based on the legend of the Will-o-wisps. A power unlike any other, the power to steal lifeforce/energy/stamina from others and feed off it just like the Will'o wisps did to fuel their own appetite and power of inextinguishable flames. At long last the master succeeded he created a sword that could use the same powers the will-o-wisps could, and in the first attempt to use this mysterious power it backfired on the creator and the magic escaped into Wallace, thus imbuing Wallace with the same powers imbued to the sword, thus Wallace can now use the power that is eating at his stamina constantly to take shape as fireball like forms of magic that feed off his foes to fuel themselves instead of feeding off of Wallace himself. This new power made Wallace an outcast from the lowborn society that he spent his life growing up in and now wherever he goes he is constantly shunned by others because they feel as if being near him pulls on their soul as if he was trying to steal it. He now is looking for a way to gain an eternal stamina source to be imbued within him to quench the hunger and greed of the magic despite the fact that it itself is not a living being, just a horrible accident that brought back to life an old and solemn legend of the life stealer called the Will-o-wisp. Wallace The Wisp and his Wispy Katana has mow been introduced into the light.

I changed my mind the second character will be :
Name: Algai Spader (goes by Spade, his community calls him Forge)
Bio: Spade is a lean built man with average height and slightly muscular body for a 20 year old lowborn, with dark brown eyes, jet black hair, and a solid personality. Its no wonder why his local community of low-born call him forge, he is treated like a champ not because of his character which I implied, he is treated as a champ and called forge because of his unique capabilities that enabled him to create a strong foundation for the town. Spade's story is a short one because most of his life up till now had been filled with nothing, until one day an elderly stranger had introduced himself to Spade, the elder said, " I have been searching for a man with your strong character for 30 years that I can entrust with my family's miraculous heirloom. I'm the last living link of my families generation, and I need someone to keep the spirit of the family alive before I pass away. Let me exp-" the old man coughed and wheezed in pain, " Let me explain the history of my family, you see I come from a long line of Meta-magic users, we create spells, new magic, elements solids, liquids gasses, all sorts of things using Meta-magic. Yet, my family is special, long ago a very powerful meta-magic user sought to imbue himself with the power to manipulate and forge all natural solids and metals, even some man-made metals, and he succeeded. He was able to make solid structures shoot up from the earth, walls made of stone, ice, metal, wood, minerals, without limitations. He even made a special kind of carbon just for this power he called it meta-carbon, it was a gauntlet that could be molded and shaped in anyway as long as it was on his body, and it was stronger than any carbon. He eventually started a family and his powers were inherited by his children and their children and for generations after that, he and his family that he formed were the first Acolytes, and I am the last Acolyte." The Acolyte started to wheeze and cough violently again only this time he coughed up blood, " I'm at my last breaths and I must pass the power of the Acolytes on to you as well as the original meta-carbon gauntlet, it is called the Acolytes Fist, and once I transfer the Acolyte power to you and give you the Acolytes Fist they can never be removed, the Acolytes Fist will never leave your body, yet it can be spread out very thinly like a small cloth over your torso and upper body, so knowing this would you like to carry on the Acolyte spirit.". Spade felt honored to be given the opportunity to be the carrier of a family's exclusive responsibility and so he agreed to take on the responsibility of the Acolytes. " Perfect" shouted the Acolyte, " Now I will begin", the Acolyte placed his palm forward and transferred his powers to Spade and then he placed the gauntlet on his right hand and he passed away right at that moment. Spade now searches for another person who is able to carry on the Acolyte tradition in the future. Sorry that bio was kinda long I wanted to make sure it was good.
Abilities: 1. Forge (Earth/Metal/Ice/Man-Made Metal/Wood)- The power to generate and manipulate structures of the same characteristics as the sources they are forged from, the sources are listed as the following in the title. The structures have no limit to how extensive the generation is except for Man-made metal it can only be molded and structured as much as there is. The basic structures that can be created at first are merely columns that can arc and be manipulated in length and direction ( kinda like the wood guy from Naruto).
2. LandSlide- An upgrade to the Forge abilities basic structures, when Spade begins a run stance he can make the ground lift under his feet like little right triangles that can then be generated across the ground like a slide bringing Spade with the structures at high speeds. Leaving structures in the Landslide abilities path that look like train tracks risen from the ground.
3. Acolyte Fist- The Acolyte gauntlet given to Spade by the Acolyte, it can be molded in any way on Spade's body but can't be morphed to have more mass than originally ( just enough to cover the entire body and head like the Greed from Fullmetal Alchemist).
4. Carbon Flesh- Acolyte Gauntlet spreads over entire body or like a skin creating a meta-carbon armor all over the body that defends the entire body against physical attacks and nature magic like shooting flames or water geysers, but it is useless against other types of magic like a rainbow beam or something that shoots magic energy.
5. Strong Foundation (Natural Ability)= Spade's strong character makes him a man with lots of charisma and most people follow under him as if he were a leader, he just has a better of getting people to join him through charisma.
Defects: Can't take off the Acolyte fist, gets unnecessary attention b/c of his character, the attention means that he is more prone to being targeted in a group of fighters than others, Carbon Flesh slows down mobility a bit, structures created may affect allies in battle and they may cause collateral damage to environment and villages (for instance, the columns may clothesline people that are running, and the Landslide tracks might trip people very easily. =D).Acolyte gauntlet looks like an heirloom thus it may lead to fights from people trying to take it.
FINISHER: Carbon Crush- A column shoots up from under the foe sending them into the air followed by a column hitting them from behind and pushing along witht he foe in the direction of Spade who at the same moment is using a column to shoot himself forward at high speeds like a train where his Acolyte fist connects with the foe crushing multiple bones and inner organs, dealing out fatal damage. ; Acolyte Prison Cell- Three walls of a four sided pyramid are generated from the Earth about 10 ft high 7ft wide and 7 ft long, then a column shoots from the ground pushing the foe into the pyramid immediately after that the fourth wall of the pyramid is created, finally the walls of the pyramid all sink back into the ground crushing the foe as well or leaving the foe with so little room that they are immobilized.
And that is all I apologize again for the really long post but I wanted to make sure it was right.

Joshua Ross
Bio:
Weapon: Decus.
A huge board sword with a 5ft chain with a bladed grappling hook attached to the hilt. The sword is the length of a Zwienhielder, but is fat as a tower shield. The grappling hook is a tri clawed hook that is hooked inward and bladed on the outside.
Strength: his strength gives him the ability to wield Decus with one hand.
Style : Joshua holds Decus with the primary attacker being the grappling hook. Using it generally as a dagger or other weapon of the sort. The sword it self being a shield more so then an actual blade he prefers not to dodge but block . He takes Back handed swings with the sword causing either a great slash or a great bludgeoning to what it hits.
Finisher: Joshua starts by ramming the opponent with his own body. After which he grabs his target and proceeds to push them into down from her he decide on killing the opponent or not.
