DeathZooka's origins

#1

Post by Metal Man » Fri May 07, 2010 7:56 pm

In case you were wondering, I did coin the idea of a Deathzooka, initially calling it a Death-zooka, which was in turn based on my even older concept of a 'Deathmachine.'

I bring this up because it was questioned in the election a while ago. If you don't believe this, though, Jay himself can confirm it.

12:26 <Jay|Bass_Fishing> (Dr. Donez needs a Death-zooka)
12:26 <Razor`> ((lol))
12:26 <Jay|Bass_Fishing> (Damn, I have to make that into a Short)
12:51 <Jay|Bass_Fishing> (Dang, I really like that word, Death-zooka. I'm going to have to use it in a comic and give MM credit or soemthing)

I think Val was joking, because it's pretty hard to say that's fake; unless I am some sort of mastermind at pretending to be multiple people at once and act the way they did in 2004... :p

Of course, not to mention he changed it over time.

The point of interest is that, contrary to what was thought by some people, the Deathmachine came first and the Deathzooka was derived from it, not the other way around.

...

Silly as that matter is, as Fred's CM isn't even around to debate that anymore... I should make another comic about it instead.

In case I sounded snooty and serious, I want you to know that I was trying to sound playful and facetious.

Heh, I figured.

It's just that what you said wasn't far from the truth.

Huh? When did I deny the existence of the Deathzooka? I do remember trumpeting the national security benefits of Fred's Deathray in the primaries though.

And yeah, I remember thinking that Metal Man was using alt accounts to win the election. Good times. Although I haven't seen MBP around since the election...

That's because he wasn't a puppet, and turned on me over some unrelated gibberish.

It'd have been a lot easier had he been a puppet, as then I could have gotten him to use images which didn't use JPG and get artifacted.

>_<

You didn't deny it, you said instead the Deathmachine had been a ripoff of the Deathzooka.

When, as reality wound up being, the Deathzooka concept was made by both me and Jay, and my contribution had been to take Jay's vague idea and make a Deathmachine lookalike for NC.

...Which also means the Deathzooka isn't a Deathmachine ripoff either, per se, as the former was created to be an NC version of the latter.

Then I joined NC's election and suddenly the NC variant was in the same comix as the SSQ variant, causing hijinx to ensue.
