And Now, to fulfill more of my Campaign Promises.
Of course, without you, the voter, my victory would have never come.
So I have spent the last months contemplating on my victory, but enough is enough--the time for action has come again!
On the agenda currently...
* Launch Mario into Outer Space!
* Form an NC Senate!
* Revive Ask Dr. Donez!
* Make a PHP timer so the background never is out of date!
* Lower Imaginary Taxes!
* Give the Radical Extremists more appearances in comix!
* Make a new Comix series!
Of course, all of these are a lot to do, but there is plenty of time to do them in. This is where you, the viewer, come in.
First, I plan to revive Ask Dr. Donez. So I will ask now--is Donez's CM here? Is Jay capable of answering w/Donez? Or will I have to manage Donez's answers for him?
Next, for the NC Senate. This one will be simple: since it is 'for fun', I will open the floor for people to nominate candidates. Any candidate with two nominations will then be appointed to the senate. As this is the Senate, candidates must...
1. Be an NC character that has appeared in two NC comix
2. Those two comix must not solely exist in one 'series' (like, Mushroom Wars only, or Shorts only, or Deathmatches only)
There will be about 6 members in the Senate, and each should represent the parties we have; Radical Extremists, Neglectocrats, etc.
As for Mario and Taxes... and the new comix... I'll get right on that after the new experimental 'Suggest-a-short' is finished and put up.
ALSO
My VP, Menaced by Puppet, ironically, was not a puppet of mine. He deserted me about two months ago, and so my VP position is now open. Naturally it is my choice as candidate who shall be selected, but since I love Democracy, I shall let the voters choose for me. Now that the hateful clouds of mud caused by the election have dissipated, I may even accept a VP whom is not in the same party--although their commitment to Democracy must be clear!

Nice to see this. I feel I should state (remind?) that, as President of NC, you should be able to commit yourself completely to NC, especially with those remarkable claims of yours.
Phew! With that off my chest, I nominate Luigi for the Neglectocrats seat in the NC Senate. By the way, I happen to be in the ownership of many high-grade explosives, which can be used to blast Mario into space...ahem.

Luigi is thus chosen as the first NC Senate representative. Now for others to nominate yet others.
And then, once I have finished with procedural things, I can get on to the work of blowing up Mario!

Oh, you can take a post from back then and post it out of context; but back then I was aiming to point out the weakness in the opposition's base and build up the Nintendoite base.Gabriel Rodriguez wrote:You know, I was just thinking...
Ha ha ha, funny funny.
Ha ha, funny, ha. Ha.
Now that the Nintendoite base is strong, I figure it would be fair to those whose parties I totally defeated to give them a chance to work with me. Of course, if they choose not to work with me, then I shall not make any of them my VP; but if there exists a candidate outside my party who, nonetheless, wishes to be an ally in representing the goals of the people, then why not make them my running mate?
Let us see what they think of your hatred of bipartisanship, and see what they consider you. Did you not read the disgust and hatred I summoned in the opposition parties with my sometimes severe tactics? No! You did not, good sir. You skimmed for a piece of speech which is no longer relevant, so as to promote that hatred coming back again!
But I, as president of NC, shall not allow you to revive that bitter divisive electoral hatred. No, I shall challenge YOU to explain what the purpose of holding on to old grudges would be when we all must work together to rebuild NC!
Continue your bitter jokes if you must, News Man; but we shall see how many friends you make, suggesting that I once again shun all other candidates when there is plenty of power to share with them!
I must admit, I have been quite busy. As I said in my election ads, I have many other responsibilities. NC is high on that list, but sometimes, like Jay, I must do things. The people voted for me knowing this, and thus I am here. If you have a problem with that, then by all means, find a candidate to compete against me in the next election...Valigarmander wrote:YOU'VE BEEN IN OFFICE FOR MONTHS NOW.
WHY AREN'T PAGE VIEWS BACK UP TO THE WAY THEY USED TO BE YET? WHY AREN'T ALL THE COMIC SERIES COMPLETED YET? YOU'RE A TERRIBLE PRESIDENT.
...For the ones from the last one haven't been any more active than me at the moment! :p

I'm pretty sure Vali wasn't serious about that. ;)
For the NC senate, I nominate Simon as the official spokesman.
You know, like "Simon says... uh... the NC senates says: We hate Mario!"
Do you know the Muffin Man?

While it was quite evident that the post was ironic, I felt that it might be a concern of the people regardless; rather than wait for someone like the dire newsman to yell about it, I decided to give my answer first, as all people should know the truth! My time is limited, as much as I would like it to be unlimited, and thus sometimes there is slowness in implementing plans... but no one is free from this slowness. Hence I inform you, the voters.Romplayer wrote:Oh, Metal Man has a problem with irony :rolleyes:

The nomination has been accepted, although Simon is in fact quite a strange candidate, he will do.

Tazy wasn't in any NC comix, or at least, not enough to be in the Senate, but Tazy could be my vice president, potentially. He backed my tough standing against the other candidates up back when.
And indeed. When I get to talking about this... all comments must be taken with appropriate [strike]insanity[/strike] rhetorical devices! So do remember the power of words!
On that note, the new short is nigh, although tomorrow is a very busy day, so I would suggest mayhaps it appears Wednesday-Friday this week.

So, an update. I have a block of Finals to deal with, then nothing but free time to spruce up NC.
Just in time for Christmas!
Anyway, we need more nominations for the NC senate. Currently we just have Luigi, and Simon needs another nomination to get in.
Also, for the Vice Presidency, the dire Newsman's fears will have been assuaged, as the only people interested so far are Tazy and Luigiman/woman/thing.
Voting may begin on which, or if any late entrants are interested, they had better announce it now.
