Battle Stage: Disneyland Park (Anaheim) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

My Character: forums/gunjin-battlefield/7166-book-war ... es-18.html

Bob Harris was standing atop the front of the Disneyland Railroad, looking into the sky. With his eyes closed and head tipped backward, he drew in a deep breath, and let it loose with a sort of nasal relief. He didn't like to fight so much anymore, but his self-appointed duties called. He held in his left hand a half-empty bottle of medicine, Pepto-Bismol. He had each and every one of the symptoms the bottle could help, and then some. He wasn't feeling particularly good but he had to be where he was, because someone was coming he needed to fight. He only hoped he could protect the happy people all around him, staring at him as if he were insane.

He only hoped the destined battle would commence before he was confronted by park authorities.

Ooc: Tell me if I'm going too far out, I've already removed much of the background info.

When conflicts arise and cannot be solved by legal means, the corporations, governments, and wealthy individuals subcontract their dirty work to deniable assets known as Shadow Runners.

This particular Shadow Runner, registered under the name Eldon White aka 'White Hound' had been contacted with a mission from Mr. Johnson[1]. The profile stated that a delusional psych experiment had wandered outside his approved border area and was causing trouble in Anaheim, Calfree[2] in the aging Disney amusement park[3].

The Mr. Johnson of course could provide no specific information, but rumor on the net was that Evo North America was secretly researching induced mutations in their employees and observing them through hidden cameras.

His instructions were to retrieve the intact brain of Bob Harris by any means necessary and deliver it to the Seattle, DocWagon hub.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Eldon creeped slowly through the cracked parking lot, constantly switching between passive light amplification and thermal imaging modes on his glasses, trying to spot the rogue desk jockey.

[1] Anonymous contacts are always known as Mr. Johnson.
[2] California Free State, ceded in 2069.
[3] With the advent of TriD entertainment and BTL (Better Than Life) chips, amusement parks have been largely abandoned.

OoC: Sorry for being really late to this, hopefully you still have interest.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Bob had been waiting for quite a while. He had thought up two possible conclusion to the the issue at hand; either the destined battle was not so destined and a fight would not occur, or he was being watched. He opted for the latter, and decided to take the offensive, to search for his enemy.

He transferred his energy into an ability for locating an enemy in such a chaotic environment. His eyes gave off an eerie blue glow, allowing him to scan all life-forms and gauge their hostility in order to identify his enemy, should he be hiding.

After a quick scan, he thought he seen a flash, which would indicate that he had found what he'd been searching for the last grueling minute. It was far away and nearly unidentifiable, but he had to investigate. It seemed to be in the parking lot. With his ability now rendered useless, he regained his energy. He focused it into his legs and jumped off of the train he once stood upon, and ran very quickly, whizzing past some wandering folks.

He had found his way into the middle of the parking lot where he had scanned earlier, but didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. He stood there for a few moments, scratching his head with his eyes closed. He was in deep thought, but not for long as he sensed something stirring behind him...
