My personal favorite RPGs are the Dark Cloud series, Radiata Stories, and of course, my all time favorite video game Final Fantasy IX. But hey, Metal Mario, whatever floats your boat. SMRPG is one of the best, so yeah, I guess it is pretty close to being in that great hall of all-time greatest RPGs.

Earthbound has multiple licensing issues which have been problematic in putting it on the VC. And Chrono Trigger isn't Nintendo's call. Square said they're pretty much not going to release any games on the VC that they can remake and charge extra for.Metal Mario wrote:If Nintendo would get off their ass and release them on the VC, I'd be more than happy to talk to them.
Gamespot just marked CT down to $20 on the DS though, and that's the new price.
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

Dark Cloud is one of my favorites too, but DC2 isn't very good to be honest, at least not compared to DC.Mullet Shawn wrote:My personal favorite RPGs are the Dark Cloud series, Radiata Stories, and of course, my all time favorite video game Final Fantasy IX. I have to say, I always liked FFVI more than FFIV. I had them both on the SNES (when they were called FFII and FFIII), and although I found FFIV to be okay, I always thought FFVI was the best. Ever since playing it as a kid, I loved it. It's become precious to me. If there was any game I could ever play over and over again until the end of time, it'd be FFVI.
I liked the FFIV remake for the DS, because it gave me another chance to actually play the game, which I had never really done before. Some of the wonder may have been lost on me, though, compared to those of you who had played the game before. Now, if they gave FFVI the FFIV DS treatment... God damn, I think I might die of pure joy.

It's not that. There are multiple references, samples, etc. While they may be entirely legal, rights have changed and Nintendo already gets sued enough, and it's their lawyers' jobs to stop as many potential lawsuits as possible.Crazyswordsman wrote:^They're not licensing issues; they're fabricated issues based on frivolous lawsuits. -CSM
The real problem is that Nintendo of Japan doesn't want NoA to change anything in the game, which could get it released.
