Chrono Trigger Announcement, August 11th.

Gamervision - How Gamers See the World - Video Game News - Chrono Trigger Announcement Coming August 11th?

The art is certainly nothing like Akira Toriyama's, so if the "announcement" is a game, I'll be praying the art direction will do a 180 degree turn.

But on the bright side...maybe IT'S A GAME.

Doubt it's a game. Sounds more like a collab art project or something.

That island looks almost exactly like the largest island from the "Oriental" era in the first game, so it's probably just an art project.

Ugh, no. That's the kingdom of Zeal. It's not even remotely oriental, it's a nod to the city in the sky in Gulliver's Travels, the culture of which was primarily Indian.

^^I know the kingdom was called Zeal, but the era was called Orient for some reason.

Now, now, you might both be right. Different copies, and all that, you know? (the copy I played, that era was definitely called the Dark Ages)

The announcement was that it was a big poster for a Crono Trigger remix album, yay.

Oh so no one remembers to put in the Renaissance. And I also believe that the Romanian era came in between Dark Ages and Prehistory. Due to the fact they were the first to constantly keep track of time and make the first or so reported calender. Sorry just covered that stuff in history last year.

Umm... I think that the art might appear within a game but not a Chrono game. I just find it interesting that they mention he put Ghostbuster stickers into Little Big Planet. So I'm seeing a motive here that screams promotion of some other game with a Chrono poster in it. Or with this in the unlockable art. But I also could be 100% wrong so this is just a guess.

Is this just your hypothesis, or did they really make an early announcement?

Yeah I'm gonna take a stab and guess the DS version calls it the oriental ages.

It looks kinda like Lane Smith or whoever it was who illustrated that Diffendoofer-day Dr. Suess book did the artwork.

^^Actually, they call it antiquity. But the they also call the chef the "Master of Kitchens." This means I call shennanigans against the entire DS translation. -CSM

Alright, I suck at remembering names in games. But I was at least right about it not being the Dark Ages. >_>
