And the fan favourite is of course, gonna be Riku even though he's more or less the "Gotoh".

I didn't like the final battle of KHII/2 much especily the stages that were just sora and Riku as riku while fast and fairly powerfuul his inability to heal annoyed me greatly.

My "woah, Nelly" comment was self directed, actually. Since my FFT team was made-up of, as I stated, the cheapest characters, I thought I'd make a stupid little joke.

Hah, infact, my friend bitched that I was cheating. Good times.

I still feel that Boney stole Flints place, seeing as Lucas was already introduced before Boney. I only liked Boney when he was dressed as a person, it was funny.

^Lucas and Flint use the same stuff, and you can use Boney and Flint at the same time.

Still, Boney does suck. -CSM

Flint was my favorite.

That monkey was kind of lame, though.

I can't use Flint after some point, and barely see him up until his NPC appearance in the end. Maybe I missed something?

I didn't care for the animals in general, I suppose. But at least Boney shined for a chapter, whereas the monkey was just a poor replacewent for Bubblegum Monkey. At least Boney rivals King.

[EDIT: Never mind, misread a post]

Does King really even do anything?

Hm, well, kinda. He does considerable damage when you get him, though ya can't control him. Technically, Boney is stronger, so he's better Deathmatch style, yet King's nonchalant attitude kicks ass making him a cooler character. =D

In 10, she's actually cool. Not so in 10-2.

Oh man, I totally forgot about King, and the Bubble Monkey! They were both awesome. Picky was cool too... even though he was basically useless, but at least he was more useful than Pokey...

That's actually true. But the X-2 version is apparently "canon" now. -CSM

Out of all the EB temporary characters, Dungeon Man and Fassad were the strongest/most useful, but Bubblegum Monkey and King are animals, and didn't get on my nerves (which is rare for me, I usually hate animal roles like Icarus in DBZ).

Also, their role was significant, yet not overwhelming, and believable. Sure, King can fight a crow, but am I to believe Boney rivals the power of Giygas?

I'm pretty finicky on the subject. Apparantly.

Ah, Salsa's his name. That's right.

But if by that video you mean he is significant, well, I don't know why his dance would be anymore efficient than another's.

As far as I can tell all bubble monkey did was get Jeff across a lake (granted I didn't past fourside before my rom was lost so he could have been helpfull later.)

Not only did Bubble Monkey aid in combat, but he assisted in crossing the lake, and even gave his power to help defeat Giygas (granted, nearly everyone else did as well).

...bubble monkey actually helped in combat? I need to replay Earthbound.

Also, going back to the Final Fantasies, I remember being rather alarmed at how consistently temporary party members would die at the end of a dungeon in FFII (Japan). It was like being a Defense against the Dark Arts teacher.
