Stabby
Age: 20
Sex: Male
Bio: Stabby loves to stab things. He also loves potatos, and is very smart.
Lv. 1 Thief (XP: 0)

Equipment (Encumbrance: Low)
----------
Short Sword (good for stabbing)
Padded Leather (provides some protection)
Brown Cloth Cloak (looks cool and blends in well in dark places)
Commoner's outfit (practical clothing that doesn't stand out)
Leather boots (tough boots, good for travelling in)
2 Daggers (good for stabbing or throwing)
Pouch (4 lockpicks, 5gp)
2 sacks (empty)

You, along with some others from your guild have conspired to rob the treasure vaults of the Valdir family, a very wealthy noble family in a neighboring town. The eight of you have already broken into their mansion. There's a bunch of stuff lying around the mansion, but the real good stuff is supposed to be underneath. The existance of the underground vaults is well known, however, the exact location of the door is unknown. The family is supposed to be out of town tonight, and the mission captain has ordered everyone to split up and search. Two of your fellow guild members are looting the lobby, the captain has gone upstairs, and the other four have disappeared into other rooms.

You can search...
Upstairs
The backyard
Under the carpet in the lobby
The kitchen
The master bedroom

The backyard has a large fence around it, blocking visibility from the outside. There's a small garden near the back of the house, and in the middle of the yard is a large storage shed. There's also a marble raised deck with a built in pool (very very extragant, something most people would not have, considering many people don't even have any kind of running water in their homes.)

The pool is 28 paces long and 12 across. The marble deck is raised about three feet off the ground. The water would be above your head if you stood at the deep end. The deck itself is about 4 paces longer and wider than the pool itself. At the bottom of the pool you can see a metal cover.

It occurs to you that water is bad for leather.

You tug at it for a bit and manage to slip it out of the hole. The water starts draining. Looks like there's a passge of some kind under there, but you can't really see very well from the angle you're at.

You get your gear and head down. The ceiling is only a few inches overhead, and as soon as you enter, a light starts emitting from the ceiling. Enough to see a few feet ahead of you, but not much past that.

It leads in towards the house, although sloping downward. As you move down the passage, you get the feeling of being watched. You travel for about thirty feet (the distance between the pool and the house. The passage stops after about thirty feet, ending in what appears to be a slide. There is no light down the slide or down the path.
