I was searching around for Gamestop, and went into the DS, and read their new thing for CTDS:

I honestly wasn't expecting that much considering that Square lied to us about Final fantasy IV.

They said they'd add a lot more of the script than they actually did. What did they add, people thinking about stuff and a few flashbacks?

Not sure if I can take the fact that Frog lost his old english way of speaking. Other than that though, seems like they didn't mess with the game too much, which is good, because CT is just way too good of a game on it's own to be messed with.

I was a little disappointed too, but you know how much sense it makes?

It may not make sense, but that's just how Frog sounds, dammit.
I was tempted to pick CT DS up today in the store, but decided against it. I'll save my money for ToS 2 instead.

I think I can sum this thread up in one sentence:
"I can't stand they changed Frog's dialogue!"

This translation is so much better, though. I'm loving this game.

Heh, yeah, it does make sense, but that was one of the reasons I loved Frog...

Hmm, I wouldn't call the translation better in all aspects. As they did with FF6 on the GBA, a lot of the dialogue was made to be more in-line with the Japanese dialogue and became blander as a result. I'll take Woosley's localization over a boring direct-to-English literal translation any day.

^At least there's SOMEONE out there who agrees with me. I mean, if you look at some of the newer translations there are a lot of things that give me fits, such as "Manufacted," "Fete," and others. -CSM

I beat this game.
The new content is disappointing for the most part, however, the new ending and final boss were very good. Infact, I enjoyed fighting
Dream Devourer
more than any other boss. Very good design.
Overall, meh. Arena of Ages has no online multiplayer, c'mon.

I saw the new ending on Youtube, and I gotta say, I really don't care for it much.
I just don't think that they should have just killed of Schala, I mean, I think it was better off left as a mystery... and, what the hell? Magus forgets that he was looking for her? Totally stupid.
They didn't kill her off, they just explained what happend to her.
And I think he had no reason to exist, so he willed away his memory or something. That was a bit vague but was a very good ending, IMO.

I dunno man, something about it just bothers me... it just seems like a really big part of the plot to kind f' with... I mean, I always kind of had that sense of you know, maybe Magus will find her and save her or something. So it just kinda bothers me a bit. I kinda really didn't want them to add anything that would mess with the storyline.
