Chip shoots a laser at Eggman, intending to kill him. Sonic kills Chip., and then proceeds to go destroy Ragnarok. However, Eggman returns, revealing himself to be essentially invincible, and then fuses with Rgnarok's core. Eggman intends to have Ragnarok crash into the Earth. Sonic then has two epic battles against him. Sonic destroys Eggman and Ragnarok, at the cost of his life.

Meanwhile, down at Area Zero, Amy mourns his death, before promising to make a future where humans and animals can live together in peace. The game then switches to a desert, where a shot of Sonic's destroyed shoes is shown.

...yeah, that's totally it.

Yeah, the night levels sort of reminded me of Sly Cooper, only not as fun.

The day levels are what I live for in a Sonic Game =)

It's just a promotional video they released.

I enjoyed it. Very well made, something missing mostly from the Sonic franchise as of late.

Nice, I really like this new style of animation they've been using.

You know what would be cool? If Sega made a feature length Sonic movie with the actual characters and stuff. Think about it, if it was done right, it could turn out pretty freaking awesome.
