Oh, is this the fighting game?

Yeah, it looks promising. The God of Darkness and the Goddess of Light are having a war, so the God of Darkness summons all the villains from Final Fantasy, whereas the Goddess of Light summons all of the Warriors of Light.

I heard that Squall was going to be the combo guy, and the guy from FF2 is the weapon master, while Warrior of Light, the first character you play as, is real balanced.

I'd pick it up, but it's for PSP...Gonna have to get me one of those.

Gameplay looks interesting, story looks lame.

There's supposed to be more characters then what's been revealed, which makes sense because there's villains like Kefka and Sephiroth without an opposing hero.

Also, the Warrior of Light is pretty cool.

Honestly, if I could of had Cecil kill him for good, I would have enjoyed IV quite a bit more.

Well, I did enjoy the musical score. Edward I'll never forget. Tellah was just bloody awesome.

I thought FF9 was actually really good. It was more true to the original final fantasy games in terms of "FANTASY". Squall, in my opinion, was horrible. I thought Zidane was a lot cooler in the way he acted. He wasn't the "quiet protaginest with no personality at all" like Squall or Cloud.

It's 3-D. So, I doubt it's balanced. I don't know why, but 3-D Fighting games just tend to have less balance than 2-D.

But, uh, Cloud of Darkness? Wtf will that look like? It was a God in FF3.

^^FFIX was a wondrous game, but I say that with a lot of bias seeing as it was my favorite game of all time... And still is.

Terra and Kefka are the FF6 characters. And Cecil can swap between Paladin and Dark Knight.

Initial previews have been quite positive. I don't understand what your gripe is - it's no more fanservice than something like Super Smash Brothers. :shrug:

So, FF5 will have Bartz and Exdeath as rivals, which isn't bad, but I would've preferred Galuf over Bartz. The reason being, Galuf's bout with Exdeath was the most epic fight scene in any Final Fantasy game evah.
