Alright, this is mainly for the people that are trying to get more people to rp here. But anyone can join in at any time.

Here's the template for your character-

Name:
Age:
Info:
Appearance:
Equipment-
Weapons:

You edit the equipment part as you purchase items from the shop that I'll make a thread for.

Now, for your stats. You start out with 25 exp, which you'll start by spending on these stats:

HP:
Strength:
Speed:
Def:

You start out with 30 coins. You use the coins for the shop thread.
To gain coins, you can either sell items to other players,
or, when you win a battle with another player, you take the coins that they have. So, if you lose, you lose all your coins. :(

Also, when you win a match, the number of exp that your defeated opponent has, you gain as that is. You aren't taking exp from them, though.

Now, battle rules-

When your in a battle with someone, and it's your turn, if you attack, this is how it determines how much damage you do- it's the attack level of your weapon minus your opponents defense.

Then when it's your turn, and you say that you want to dodge your opponents next attack, here's how it works-

This all depends on your speed stats. If your speed stat number is an odd number, then you can only dodge after every 3 of your turns. If it's an even number, then you can only dodge after every 2 of your turns.

Now, for strength. If you choose to attack with a punch or a kick, then it's your strength minus your opponent's defense to determine how much damage it does.

Age: 16
Info: A trained fighter who's always eager for a fight. He prefers a sword over an axe. He was trained by his father, who was a well-know soldier.
Appearance: Long red hair, blue eyes, a brown sleeveless shirt, blue shorts, and tan sandals.

Weapons: None, yet.
Armor: None, yet.
Potions: None, yet.
Misc: None, yet.

HP: 15
Strength: 3
Speed: 0
Def: 2

Oh, and by the way. After you've made your character, you get 15 free exp.


You can be a mage, or a fighter. If you use more melee attacks, and use weapons such as swords, maces, and axes, then you're a fighter.

But, if you are a mage, then you have a stat added, which is MP.
And, you purchase your spells. And, you can only purchase weapons that work with mages, and you will know when you look in the soon-opening shop.

The sample character was made with 20 character points. Explain speed more, the way you wrote it it seems that you only need 0 or 1 for all purposes. Also how do HP and special attacks work.

Info: A young farmer that was press ganged into the Trevino Mercenaries. Upon gaining his freedom, he learned his wife had remarried and was living quite happily without him. He then gave himself to arena fighting to dull the pain of old memories.

Appearance: Harris is a grand 6'7 and well muscled with short cropped hair and a plain looking face.

I'm not sure about special attacks. I would like to add the mage class, but not just right now.

Magic shouldn't be too hard to add; its basically just another set of attack/defense values as far as attacking is concerned. As for additional damage/effects and the cost of spells... all of that would be up to you, and that part can be kind of hard to balance out.

Plus, there's still the question of health (How much do we have?) and speed (how else does it work? Because as it is now, it seems that it doesn't matter how high it is, just that it's odd or even.)

I'll probably change this if magic/actual abilities or something are added.

EDIT: Okay, so you editted as this was being done. By the way... you really shouldn't have HP be in the same group as Attack/Defense; mostly because they just aren't equal. If you're going to keep it that way, have HP be multiplied by a certain amount so its actually worth something. And lastly... the character you designed is missing 5 points.

Eh...I'm sorry, I'm new to making role-plays with stats.... I think I'm going to just get rid of the speed thing, because we already have defense. Also, I'll add the mage class.
