Nintendo Switch vs Wii U
Which of these two consoles do you like the most? Why?
What could have been better for the console you don't like the most?
What are your favourite games for each?

Switch.
The WiiU could've been sturdier & supported Cube discs.
Smash 4 & Smash Ultimate.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Re: Nintendo Switch vs Wii U
I definitely prefer Switch, it's just better in every way, especially Switch Lite. Wii U's GamePad had a pretty poor quality screen and was just too big. It also had extremely poor reception, you had to be so close to the Wii U it may as well have been wired.
For Wii U I like Smash 4, and Switch I'd say Mario Odyssey.

Re: Nintendo Switch vs Wii U
I recently played Shredder's Revenge, I wanted to like it but there was so much chaos on-screen I couldn't follow the action. Pretty cool game otherwise.
Have you tried Rayman Origins? It's just as good as Legends if not.

Re: Nintendo Switch vs Wii U
Never played on a Switch at all.
My nephew Maxy has one, as I recall.
You know, I don't like that Ninty and Sony have given up on backwards-compatibility to the extent that they have. I never would have thought Microsoft would turn out to be the good guys after that disastrous press conference. And yet here I can play my copies of 'Pirates!' and 'Psychonauts' on my dumb XBoxOne, and presumably I'll be able to play them on the next one if I upgrade.

Re: Nintendo Switch vs Wii U
^^ Ah, Bubble Bobble, one of my most nostalgic games. I don't think it holds up too well if I'm being perfectly honest, but I absolutely loved it as a little kid on NES.
Although, it is pretty stupid they didn't carryover digital games from Wii to Wii U, nor Wii U to Switch. Maybe it could've been overlooked once but not again. There's not even a guarantee they'll carryover Switch games to Switch 2, which wouldn't surprise me.
I agree to an extent, but Nintendo got into discs late, and then they did keep backwards compatibility for NGC with Wii, then Wii to Wii U, but now they went back to cartridges again. So in their defense I think they have a pretty good excuse not to have the feature currently.Booyakasha wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 4:06 amNever played on a Switch at all.
