Most of those spells are jokes. They never work against bosses, and there is no need to cast them on the 1% of enemies that they DO work on.

For regular enemies, you should be able to off them in a couple of hits anyways. The only time I used some status effect regularly was in Dragon Warrior, when I used Stopspell to keep those Star Wyverns from using Healmore before I kill 'em. Poison rarely does more damage than if you had just attacked again. Blind just prevents a few hits even if they use physical attacks. Silence is more handy, but, again a dead mage can't cast spells. Sleep and stop don't work when you want them to. Slow is good, but again, unless it's a lo-o-ong battle, it won't do that much good.
Haste and regen are great, but they're only worth casting in long or tough battles.

On regular fights, I never use them, but in boss battles I will use them all the time. I find haste on myself very useful, and statis ailments scarecly work on bosses, but if they do, they can work wonders.

I hardly ever use em. Only on boss fights, and then I only use Barrier/MBarrier, Regen, and Haste. I don't bother with poison and mute and crap like that... too much time!

I use them irregularly depending on the battle. Sometimes it'll work really well.

I use none, I prefer raw power... of course a haste and some barriers are essential.
