So, who remembers this awhile ago?
http://vgf.com/forums/threads/i-have-ne ... ter.90563/
Note specifically teh student who is "Triggered by French". Well, he has his schedule arranged so that he never has to go by the French classroom. Guess what he did a few days ago?
If you guessed "Ask to use the bathroom and walk by the French classroom which is literally
out of his way so he can stage a meltdown", you would be right. This kid screamed all sorts of things from what I hear, and then he attempted to slit his wrists because he couldn't handle it.
Not only did this kid cut across the wrist, but he also tried to slit his wrists with a sharpie.
...Yes. I'm dead serious. He tried to slit his wrists with
a permanent marker.
French teacher was blamed for it - it is somehow
her fault for him walking across the hallway, stopping outside of a classroom pretty much nobody but people in that class have a reason to be by, and then drawing on his wrist.
For the record, this is now the second suicide attempt in the high school - the first was with a handful of tums, the second was with a sharpie. Sure enough, now it's time to bring about suicide awareness. I don't think tehse guys need suicide awareness so much as they need Munchausen Syndrome awareness - because they're enabling kids who're clearly attention seeking.

Lmfao I actually look forward to these stories just based on how ridiculous they are. I'm not terribly surprised considering how many youth submit to the victim complex lately.

Did anyone ask how he's triggered by French...? I don't understand.

I don't see any harm in letting him continue to 'slit his wrists' via felt-tipped marker. No cause for alarm. Maybe next time he'll move on up to the deadly world of rubber erasers or cotton candy.
Lmfao I actually look forward to these stories just based on how ridiculous they are. I'm not terribly surprised considering how many youth submit to the victim complex lately.
If there's one problematic thing that kids have picked up since the 1980s, it's the "Victim Culture". As I mentioned in our Ferguson thread, it seems most people never actually learn that False Dichotomy is in fact a logical fallacy... and the "Victim culture" thrives on it. If you're a "victim", all of your wrongdoings and shortcomings are completely excused. If you dare try and call someone out for doing something stupid or contributing to their situation, then you're siding with their aggressor or their oppressor! People just love the concept of being the bigger victim, because then you get away with pretty much anything.
It's not just the modern youth who do it - it's people of all ages. People have always exploited the sympathies of others for their own gain and people with Munchausen Syndrome have always been indulged (Anyone want to hear about my aunt's coworker and how she tricked my aunt and another coworker into getting her boss fired and put onto a sexual predator list, effectively destroying his life? Or how our social worker friend got assigned to a case where a kid tore his family apart for **** and giggles?) It seems like the youth of today are submitting more to the victim complex because there are more ways to be a victim - I'm pretty sure if people thought this way in the 1950s, we'd have people like the fair-weather gay person in the previous post.

Knowing these people, he'll probably just say he can't repeat it. What, did his parents abuse him while yelling in French? Or was he forced to watch Madeline?

They indulge the kid, thus making the problem worse.

Exactly. What's probably also happening is he's going on the internet and getting his own problematic behaviours indulged. That's why people view 4chan, Tumblr, and Reddit as havens for things like this - using the natural behaviour of humans to find like-minded individuals, they find people like them (sometimes without realizing they're trolls who wanna watch the world burn), get indulged, then refuse to assess any problematic behaviours because no matter what, they can just go to their friends and get told what they want to hear and it's okay.

Bump - sorry for the double post, but I didn't want to make another thread about this.
So! Guess what happened today? That's right... the french PTSD kid tried to commit suicide at school again.
Because of the incident in December, the French teacher must keep the door closed at pretty much all times in the event this person walks by and sees a poster or hears someone speaking French. Guess what he did after his first class today? Waited in the bathroom until class began... walked over to the French classroom, pulled the door open. walked in, and then had another breakdown where he tried to slit his throat. But wait! Guess what he tried to do it with.
...a bottle of Elmer's Glue.
Kid gets the rest of the week off from school and is on Suicide Watch - meaning he must be attended at all times. Maybe this time he'll put his head in a desk and try to suffocate himself.

TBH if he can slit his throat with a bottle of glue, bravo. Just let him try.

I suspect that there may be some attention-seeking behaviour going on here.
