Taking naps.
Val doesn't usually like to take naps, since his days are short enough anyway. But a good nap can make a decent reset button when you're having a bad day, Val has found. He was feeling pretty crummy earlier, then he napped for 30 minutes and now he's feeling much better.
What about you? Do you like to nap during the day?

^That, plus it messes with my sleep schedule. Taking a nap usually means it's going to take me an hour longer to fall asleep at night. I pretty much only do it if I had massive insomnia the night before or horribly misjudged my ability to last an entire day having woken up at 4am. Usually the latter.

^ The worst ones are the naps you don't even want to take. You're just watching Netflix or some jazz and then you just kinda fall asleep. Wake up an hour or two later completely refreshed but when it's time to go to bed later you can't fall asleep because of the **** nap that your body forced upon you
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

^^See, my body does the thing where it shocks me awake every time I start to fall asleep at a time I'm not really settled into a place to sleep. The problem is, sometimes it waits until my brain has started pre-dreaming (which is what I and presumably sleep wizards call that phase right before sleep where your control over the content of your thoughts goes out the window) and I end up having pseudo-hallucinations about whatever thing I was in the process of doing when I dozed off. I have had pre-dreams about Michael Caine running a train service and being irate at Axl Rose
I call it the Caine Train

well i mean if he wasn't before he is now
and i remember he was really mad at axl, and getting really intense and in axl's face like "VERY GOOD NOW. ALRIGHT. VERY LOUDLY INDEED. GET OFF MY BLOODY TRAIN, AXL"
and axl's like "NO MAN I'M FREE TO DO WHATEVER"
and then caine goes around greeting guests really intensely like "oh yes, very good, very good"
and then over the course of a few days something weird happens and michael caine starts to turn into a gorilla
and on the last day of this trip he comes in, beating his chest, hooting, and says "OOK. YES. VERY GOOD. OOK. OOK. WE LEAVING NOW. YES. YES INDEED. OOK."
and axl's like "I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG. I TOOOOOOLD YA" in this sing-song Axl screech kinda way
and michael caine mauls him and throws a banana at him
