Things you do differently from most people

Around the middle of college, I was struck by a plethora of things I thought was natural all my life that other people thought was weird or uncomfortable. I had never thought about these things until other people questioned them in front of me.
They consisted of:
- Eating dry cereal all the time
- Wearing my watch on my right wrist
- Never eating the really fat, chewy parts of a steak
- Never really eating the crust of toast
- Pinching my nostrils together while sneezing instead of giving a loud "achoo!"
- Wearing long socks (There was one day when everyone, completely separate friend groups too, realized that I wore long socks and never stopped being weirded out by it)
- Always, 24/7, writing in script and not print.
Are there any odd, unfamiliar little things you do? On the contrary, have you ever bonded with someone over something you thought you only did?

People don't wear watches on their right wrist?

Screaming in public places consistently for the sole purpose of terrorising nearby pedestrians.

Not eating the fatty parts of the steak is relatively common to my knowledge

Fat is yucky. Like who wouldn't avoid it.
I wear long socks all the time.
...my job is f*ckin cold, homey. Minding the security door at my store--------it's cold. I get effin cold, here, man. Long socks help. Not much, but some.

I grew up in a family that eats everything on their plate. They give me looks when I avoid the fatty parts, as do my friends, who actually consider it the BEST part.
It took me a while to notice that the fashion trend around me was wearing short socks, even despite the weather. This one girl down my hall in my dorm was like, "Oh my God, ew, I can't get over your long socks right now." At which point she told her other friends and they all sort of pointed at me like "Why are you wearing that?" Later that day I visited a friend who had a couple pre-teen siblings. They kept staring at me and I was like "What?" and they said "Are you a grandpa? You have long socks." And at that point I was like "Why the f*ck is everyone suddenly busting my chops on my socks?"

Nearly everything in terms of handwriting, in English or otherwise. I hold pens and pencils completely differently from anyone else, have loops on the left edge of the bars in Ts and Is, sign my full name as one continuous word with some letters unfinished, and write Asian characters in totally different stroke orders than what's suggested. None of the suggested methods feel natural.
Other than that, not much. My techniques in a lot of games (RL or not) tend to be the less used versions, but they're almost never ones that are actually rare.

I own a couple pocket watches. I haven't worn a wristwatch in years.

I usually wear wristwatches either when I'm jogging (a sports watch) or at a formal event.
There was another tidbit I remember doing differently than my friends. Apparently people wet their toothbrush after applying the toothpaste? I always wet the toothbrush first and then applied the toothpaste.
OH. Here's a big one. I can't believe I forgot this - showering in the night versus the morning. Growing up I was always confused when I heard friends complain about showering in the morning. It made more sense for me to shower at night after I've sweated through the day. I was slightly OCD growing up and always found comfort in imagining that I went to bed clean and that my bed would stay clean. Of course, I've come to terms with knowing that nothing can truly be clean. But when you shower at night instead you wash down any allergens you picked up during the day (dust, pollen, etc). In the morning I only wet my face and hair - just a brief superficial cleanse.

ARE YOU ME? Because I do that stuff too.[DOUBLEPOST=1414093822,1414093047][/DOUBLEPOST]I peel a banana from the bottom (yah, I'm a monkey). How else would you peel it... That damn stem is in the way but when you do it the way I do it, it serves like some sort of handle.

I tie my shoes differently. Also, like you Scotty, I prefer dry cereal. Or just no cereal at all!
I also can't STAND wearing socks for too long. They make my feet feel weird.

I've heard that this is actually the correct way and once you reminded me of it I did it that way. It's so much easier, rather than finger wrestling with the stem.

I dip McNuggets in honey. Every time I ask for it, I have to clarify that I don't mean honey as code for honey mustard.

^Back when I worked at the diner I would order a chicken sandwich and put honey all over it.
Now I don't live in the same state anymore so I just do that at Popeyes.

I eat Worcestershire sauce on a lot of things.
I save one last bite of the best tasting part of any meal for last.
I hold my pencils "wrong" and therefore write like a perpetual fourth grader.
I still hunt and peck on the keyboard. And I'm really quick with it.
In games, I tend to have unconventional (read: wrong) methods of doing things because I have a bad habit of overthinking and going about things the roundabout way. For less harmful habits, I'm one of the few people I know who taps his lands left rather than right in MtG.
I actually can't think of much else I do differently from other people, but I'm sure a dozen more examples will come to me as soon as I'm not thinking about it.
