People make me sick!
I had known a friend of mine who was looking for prostitutes for quite a while and it's just something you never want to bring up with him. I don't agree with it either. This had been going on since he moved here a year ago. I became suspicious when he showed me something on his laptop one day and his windows 8 email popped up when he pressed the windows key by accident and I saw ads for craigslist. When I asked what those were he said spam. I'm not stupid. But as the months went by he got a girlfriend. Then he started getting really cocky and pompous and even started being an ******* to me and my other friends. To my curiosity, I went on craigslist for the past few months and could figure out which ads were by him. The description matched, his language use matched too. One picture even had his "you know what" out in his bedroom which could be easily identifiable (The bedroom I mean!). Something this week made me snap and pretend to be a girl. This kid was offering certain prescription drugs for "services". When I did everything I got his actual e-mail address and his phone number. They both matched. I was sick. Here I am now with the proof. I don't want to be involved in this but I know what he's doing is wrong, immoral, and illegal on top of that. What makes me sick is the moral dilemma. I want to report him to the police but do it anonymously. I don't want to be involved as a witness either. I don't even know how to go about doing this.

Usually there's a way to report any crime anonymously. Check your city/county police website or call them.
As for not being involved as a witness, the important evidence would be the records of the email/whatever exchange in which he told you this stuff and whatever they can subpoena from Craigslist/his email provider. Can't imagine why they'd need you in person, but I don't pretend to have the expertise to say for sure one way or the other.

UPDATE: Lesson learned. If you are ever in the situation I described in my first post, never pretend to be someone else and "entice" them even if you know they'd do something illegal or are doing something illegal. Nothing bad's happened to me but I got a nice hour lecture from the police about it. However, they are turning the case over to someone in narcotics who will take care of it. Dodged a bullet but got what I wanted.
