Going outside

#1

Post by Apollo the Just » Fri Jul 11, 2014 4:52 pm

I've had about a 500% increase in free time in the past few days and I feel like I've been wasting it, even though I've been productive indoors... it doesn't feel as much like I spent the day well if I didn't leave the house at all.

So I'm making this more than anything to motivate myself to get out, even if it's just for a bit! Vitamin D and sunshine is really good for everyone so long as they don't have a condition so I'm sure I'm not the only one who could benefit from this.

Today I'm going to take a walk around campus. Start simple.

Sometimes I hang out on my balcony, or bounce around on Squeege's parents' trampoline.

Val walks to and from work. 45 minutes each way.

Kind of sucks during the summer.

I went outside yesterday.

Having done so makes me feel somehow that I have fulfilled my 'outside' quota, and is making it hard for me to make myself do it again today.

will keep trying

It's all humid and yucky outside just now. Plus there's people out there. Much rather just go on sitting inside in the air conditioning and watching bizarre pornography.

Middle of winter in Perth.

Too sunny to write outside.

I was out for photography today.

Not a great plan. Did get some shots on the bridge though so I'll see how those work out.

Yesterday I was outside for a very limited time that included getting absolutely dumped on by a massive thunderstorm. Was not fun.

Today was really nice and I wanted to go outside but I was in a car for 8 hours instead. :/
and that's the waaaaaaaaaay the news goes

I would totally ride a bike to work every day in the summer, except 1. I don't have a bike and 2. There are way too many hills in my town to make that a safe and viable option.

^I would too, but 1. I'm a terrible biker; 2. the "long way" would take at least an hour; 3. the short way involves an interstate.
