Better than "Lets just move 100 miles away from each other and never talk again."

I guess it strains or ends the friendship coz of the hurt felt... it can be that those two people can be friends again but it takes a special effort to be so. :D

Through the three years I took Psychology, I have learned one huge thing with men in relationships (even though I am a man. =P):

If a woman asks us to "just be friends", this is practically a sword through our hearts. Heh. It's ironic, isn't it?

The real reason that friendships after relationships don't work out is because of the awkward feeling that men conduct when they are in this situation. You feel like you're just there, with this woman, who you used to care for but no longer do because of the loss of a relationship. There is no more friendship, either. At least not sincere friendship, because no matter what, the guy will always think about it as a relationship, and it will be far more unbearable in this sense.

Interesting observation, ne?

If it actually requires effort to be friends then you're not friends at all.

That would be interesting and insightful if I took Psychology seriously.
