I did the horsemanship badge at scout camp, but that's been it.

I accidentally fell in love with horse riding. I always thought horses were scary and would prefer to go camel riding. Until... I hired a horse on a farm-stay and had an absolutely wonderful half-day riding. And the instructor was amazed at my natural skill, asking me how many years I'd been riding previously, only to be shocked it was my first time.
