It takes a lot of devotion, and a lot of trust. We connect on a level a lot of people who know each other in person do not. I'm not going to lie and say it's easy, but I don't regret a moment of it.Originally posted by Sir Bolt:

^ Congraturations.
As I've said, I really don't see a whole lot of how it makes a difference. I mean, there is a difference, yes, but it's really a trivial matter from my perspective. It has worked. It just requires commitment and trust like any relationship. Pretty much what Wy said.

^ Y'know, for someone who doesn't like talking about it, why are you bringing to the front burner?

It's something that doesn't work for everyone. But just coz it doesn't work for you, doesn't mean it can't work for someone else. Any relationship, no matter how it's found, can carry risk.
Personally, I would never have thought I could care about some people I've met online as much as I do considering I've never met them. It's all great though!

Plus, it seems with an internet relationship you're bonded so closely by your trust, personalities, and other various "inner" things more than just looks- something that definitely can't be said for an RL relation.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. But I wouldn't get into an online relationship; it's just not my thing. However, I think it's alright if it makes someone happy. And frankly, if someone would ever stop doing something that makes him happy and hurt others in the process just because I disagreed with what he was doing, then he'd be a moron.Originally posted by Tunbs:

Quote of the week:
"The only difference between a dead skunk lying in the road and a dead lawyer lying in the road is that there are skid marks around the skunk." - Patrick Murray.
Pointless fact of the week:
In 1963, baseball pitcher Gaylord Perry remarked, "They'll put a man on the moon before I hit a home run." On July 20, 1969, a few hours after Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon, Gaylord Perry hit his first, and only, home run.

^ I applaud you, really I do. That's the definition of open-mindedness right there, and that's something rare to see nowadays.

O_o im engaged to someone i met on the internet 3 years ago.... moreso, i met him through another friend online, he lived in my old state, i came up to visit my friends, met him IRL, and omfg, we fell for each other, dated for about 5 months, mutually decided that it was for better, spent the last 2 1/2 years almost never talking, and we picked right up where we left off and are completely in love with each other still. We have the same feelings, can finish each others sentences, read each others thoughts, and even have done some of the same things on the same days O_o i love him... a lot... the time and distance made us stronger and now that im moving back up to MN, we're going to get married.
