Yeah, I definitely wouldn't take her to a candlelit dinner. I'm not all "omg i em so rmoantic," and I hardly see the point of it when I'm in friggin high school. Besides, I don't intend to spend a fortune on her. Shini's advice is more what I had in mind, although I don't see the problem with the movies, except maybe for the fact that it's incredibly cliched...

That's the very reason you shouldn't do a movie on the first date. It makes you stand out, makes you look like you're different from all the rest. It may sound ridiculous, but girls appreciate that because it lets them know you're not just some clichéd individual.

I <3 coffee. But only in small quantities. By small quanitities in that I go through phases where I absolutely love it, and then I hate it for a good while.

If they were into it, going to Barnes and Noble's with their coffee shop and sit-down area to read would be a nice idea too.
