New areas, elements, and requests!

After slowly working on it bit by bit, I've now finished a large village where people are extremely jumpy and commonly lynch their neighbors. To access it, follow the coastline and press a secret switch. Make sure you've explored most of the other areas or you might not be able to press the switch.

The enemies are quite strong and can likely crush you if they attack in large groups, but I've tested each of them and I think the challenge is nice enough without being too extreme. Post any remarks about things you think should be changed in here.

If you notice some stats on certain items (especially the ones dropped by bosses) have dropped all of a sudden, it's probably on purpose. I don't want them to be too powerful.

All of the enemies represented by small blue circles do not have an official image yet. If anyone out there wants to draw something for them (at a size that fits inside the box nicely), that would be sweet; just say so here or privately; I'll likely use it and credit you.

Feedback makes the world turn. ;)

The Doctor is very selfish. He never heals anyone except himself, and always heals himself (even at full HP) until he runs out of MP.

*sweats* Whew... what a workout. :D

That was pretty tough, 'specially the big 4 person Brawl with (*drummroll*) CL's creation! Frankly, I'm glad the Doc only heals himself cause if he didn't, I probably would've lost that fight! :p

But the doc healing himself even at full HP is very silly.
Other than that, nice challenge indeed!

Step Two:

Go to Coast 1, 2, 3...

Step 3:

Continue until you see the NPC "secret switch"

Step 4:

Talk to the switch until it is pressed.

Or is it in the place called the Switch Zone and do I have to kill that Living Rock that has a super high Def stat??

Yeah two rookie theifs and one living rock is taking some time to defeat. I'm at 20 min. But it's mostly because either my blows miss or do little to no damage, same goes for them. Still it beats mopping up the floor with the obese sharks

Whew... at least there's stuff being sold in the Paranoid Village Plaza. Makes training there at least possible. Thanks S1x! :D

So far I can't even reach the plaza area. The game is far more challenging now :headbang:

Updates:

- Townies won't appear themselves in the last couple areas of the village, but they may still appear as teammates.
- Most enemies in the Paranoid Village have been weakened in some way.
- By CL's request, the Hippie Pirate now dual wields a... unique :D ... dagger that also very rarely is dropped. She also has a very unique spell.
- The store is up and contains some potions and spells. I'm not done yet, though. (Barrier should be VERY useful)
- I'm getting rid of Defense from most weapons and Strength from most non-weapon gear.

Something up? It never really seemed to make much sense. Plus you could always craft some kind of sword that somehow has more Defense than Strength anyway if that's your thing.

Here's some random questions:

-What's up with the crater? The crown thief only is there. You did say something about a quest with Slife...
EDIT: Looking at the Shoutbox in-game, apparently the whole crown-thing is gone now. auuuu...
-To players, what level should I be at when I attempt the whole Bee thing? I'm 14 now, and I haven't gotten past the Bleak Cliffs due to laziness.

More as I think of them.

It's semi-permanently a dead end until I think of what else I might want to put there.

It crushes my adventurer heart when I see a dead end. D:

The village battles are actually harder now. The Doctors heal everyone twice, so you have to do almost 700 extra damge per Doctor to win.

X-3: I did it at 18, I think. What level you can win at depends on how you spread out your stats.

It shouldn't be that hard if you concentrate on the Doctor directly, but I've also weakened its Defense so that you may be able to knock him out before the potions get used.

Also, ever wanted to know how much raw damage all your attacks and spells do? Practice against the Damage Dummy enemy I've just placed in the Test Area.
