I don't know too much about the Big Bang or other theories, so I can't really say anything on that topic. They're "innocent until proven guilty" as far as I'm concerned.

I say to "Creationists"...if God is all-powerful, then why is his power limited to the Bible? Couldn't he create the universe and humans using the Big Bang, evolution, or whatever procedure he wanted? Ironically, it seems that it's the Christians, not the atheists, who most often forget that religion isn't the opposite of science.

That is, theories which actually have some evidence behind them, instead of just hopeful speculation.

There wouldn't be evidence if people didn't start with hopeful speculation. I think this definitely belongs in this forum.

Life is a mystery. Like "What killed the dinosaurs?" Or "Is their other E.T.s on other planet?" Really, I just don't know anymore. The Christian theroy...The Big Bang theroy...Ack, It's all confusing.

Sure, why not? It's not that hard to believe that an all-powerful God can exist forever.

Then again, there probably wouldn't have been an issue of time "back then".

It's pigheaded to suggest the universe needs to be created but God does not. I mean, do we need a middle man even to exist? Blech! I persist to exist, and therefore I EXIST. Do you not understand?

Out of everything in the universe that exists, only one thing, "God", can exist freely without being created? Gee. You're making sense.

It equals "able to have always existed", because if you are all-powerful, then anything, absolutely anything, whether it makes logical sense or not, is in your power. If God created logic, then why should He have to submit to it?

Is it that hard to imagine that an all-powerful being can defy the laws of nature and work against what we consider to be logic?

Yeah, those maniac scientists just can't grasp the concept of common sense, can they? And those dopes who waste their lives trying to find cures for cancer and AIDS...ugh! Can't they just get the point that they don't know, and that they shouldn't count their chickens before they hatch?

You don't know everything, because you can't. Then you argue about it. Argue about something you don't even necessarily know. That's what puts me off about most people. They'll argue about something they don't know a single thing about, just because they want to be heard. Congratulations, I say to them. You prove your insignificance by refusing to accept it.

Um, that's hypocritical. You go on and on about how shameful it is to make an assertion about something you don't know about. And then you tell us that we're "refusing to accept that we're insignificant", without showing proof that we are insignificant and that no God exists to treasure our lives.

By your idea that we shouldn't mess with anything that we don't know about, then say goodbye to medicine, technology, and progress. Before you can have knowledge, you have to be willing to ask questions, and you MUST, MUST be willing to take a leap of faith, whether you're religious or not. Science isn't the things we know, but an attempt to understand them. And it's not the religious who are going back to the Dark Age. It's the people who think that science is perfect.
