Both look awesome and both have really good song lists. Extreme will have EyeToy support, and Ultramix 2 will have new Live features! This is gonna be cool.

Simple Being Loved - BT
The Reflex - Duran Duran
Highs Off U - 4 Reeel
Move Your Feet - Junior Senior
Planet Rock (Swordfish Radio Edit) - *Unknown*
There You'll Be - DJ Speedo Feat. Angelica (A cover of the song by Faith Hill, I believe)
And a song from Silent Hill 4, I hear.

Yeah, I'm excited too. Some people don't like the new interface or EyeToy support, but I think it'll all be good in the end. EyeToy support especially looks cool.
And I believe the release date is this September for Extreme and sometime in the Fall for Ultramix 2.

YMCA?? Come on Konami, you can do better than that.
I think "Zombie Nation" would be sweet to DDR to. (the OhhhOohh Oh techno song)

You die.
If anything else, Konami should've gotten YMCA since the first few mixes.

^ You have to be joking. In the Navy was bad enough but I will avoid YMCA fully when I get the game.

I'm completely serious.
In The Navy was great too. I loved the steps on Heavy.

If DDR Extreme is anything like the Japanese version I will be incredibly impressed. The Jap version has songs from every mix including some from Beatmania and what not. Truly awesome. (Especially playing it on a cobalt flux pad..)
-Somewhat related...
http://www.aaroninjapan.com/ddrvideos.html has some videos of guys AAA'ing Max 300 as well as some other songs. The videos aren't exactly superb quality and do take a while to load, but they are still astounding.

You mean the arcade version of Extreme? Or the Japanese home version?
I hope it's NOT like the Japanese version, because if I want to play those songs, I'll import. I want NEW stuff, although a few chosen repeats don't hurt, especially with the new play modes with the EyeToy and all.

Well any song redone by Captian Jack is awesome. In the Navy, Dream a Dream, etc.
Ultramix has been going pretty good, with the download songs, statistics, online play. And DANG my pad that came with the game is Still working awesomely!
Which ever has the Burning Heat Remix with blazing electronic guitars will be the one I'll buy first. I loves it.

DDRMAX2 and Ultramix (in a song pack) has Burning Heat, unless you mean the OTHER Burning Heat remix that consists almsot entirely of guitars.

The new remixed one? I don't think that's been in an official DDR mix. (In a simulated mix, that's another story.
