I've been looking forward to 'Hellboy' and 'Punisher' for quite a while, and I'm game for 'Blade III'; none of the others really interest me. (Especially not 'Batman'; I gave up on the series after number three.)

Spider-Man 2: Oh God yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! *ahem* July 2? What's with the wait? Doc Ock looks too badass to be seen so late. I also applaud Toby Macguire's return as Spidey. While critics and SNL alike consider him to be a monotone nerd-type, absolutely no one can argue his performance in the first film. I think Ebert, Roper, and Jimmy Fallon should actually go see one of his films before bashing him.

Batman 5: I was psyched when I saw Batman when I was five. Even more when Batman Returns hit theaters. Batman Forever was the climax of the franchise's momentum, I think. Then came Batman & Robin. *whistle* KABOOM! Ah-nold as Mr. Freeze was a wise choice, but George Clooney as Big Ears?
Okay, enough with the casting. The plot downright sucked. I couldn't stand how Gotham City was built into a large-scale statue park...Okay, I'm getting off topic. Poison Ivy teaming up with Mr. Freeze? Bane, the man who broke The Bat, a mere slave to Ivy's every whim? WTF, mate?
If a new director is stepping up to bat (Heh. I made a funny.), let's hope he didn't strike out like the last one. I also wouldn't mind seeing this relate a little closer to the comics. I won't tolerate nipples on the Batsuit, damn it.

Hellboy: I've never read the comics, but the previews for this look absolutely awesome. Can't wait.

The Punisher: I seriously hope they don't morph this guy into some psychotic killer. Hollywood has a tendency to do that with superheroes. Look at Batman. Everyone in his movies die...except Batman & Robin, the bastard child.

Hulk 2 and X-Men 3: Didn't see the first Hulk, and didn't see the first two X-Men, so no opinion.

Punisher: Might be interesting. They probably could've picked a better tagline, though. "The punishment begins."

Hellboy: Possibly, but I can't understand why Hellboy was computer generated. He would've looked a lot more natural if they'd used makeup. It's also fairly obvious from the commercials that most of the budget was spent on computer graphics instead of acting skills. At one point, a guy says, "Are you gonna be. Okay?"

Spider-Man 2: Doctor Octopus? Sure, why not.

Those are the only ones I've seen commercials for.

-A Genius (The best part in the first Hulk movie was when the guy with the broken arm was running away from the hulk, and was caught in the fakest looking explosion you can imagine.)

Hellboy isn't computer-generated. I mean, some bits of him likely are, but that's the perennially-underappreciated Ron Perlman under all that makeup.

Hellboy comics are great. I highly recommend them.

I haven't seen enough of the flick to judge it adequately. The only glaring problem I see is the tagline. 'Give Evil Hell'? Psssh. I'll buy that for a dollar.

Anybody else hear about the new 'Catwoman' movie? I have, and wish I hadn't. C'mon, now...Halle Berry? That's our new Catwoman? I could laugh, or weep. (Nothing against Halle Berry, of course, as she's a fine actress, but, for me, Eartha Kitt will always be Catwoman.)

Definitely going to see Spider-Man 2 and Batman Begins. The former goes without saying as the first Spidey flick was awesome, and Batman Begins is really starting to sound good. Good choices for the director, actor for Batman/Bruce Wayne and the villans. Plus it's going to be dark and gritty like Burton's first two films, and to top it all off we finally get to see the origin story told in full. Now if only the guys working on the next Superman flick would take a hint from Christopher Nolan on how to revive a DC Comics movie series...

I might see The Punisher and Hellboy eventually.

Also, it seems there's plans for a total of six Spider-Man movies. That might seem like a lot, but if done right it could work out good. As long as Sam Raimi and the same cast stick around, it could possibly be the movie equivalant of the original Mega Man series (six games seems like a lot, but most of them were great and even the worst were still above average).
