Review - Hot Shots!: Part Deux

Never heard of the Hot Shots! series? Neither had I. Then, while at my local FYE, I picked this up for $10. And let me tell you, I'm glad I picked it up!
Plot: Marines have been captured...by Saddam during the Persian Gulf War. Rescuers were sent in, but they got captured, too. The US President, Thomas "Tug" Benson, suspects sabotage. Nontheless, he orders to send in another platoon to rescue the rescuers and the other Marine prisoners. To lead, he chooses Topper Harley, a retired renegade pilot currently living in a Buddhist monastary in Thailand. But his pining for an old love, Ramada Hayman, inspires him to go out and save the prisoners. With his fellow platooners, Avid Harbinger, Williams, and Rainbowitz, he heads into the Iraqi prisoner camp to save everybody.
This film pokes fun at a lot of war movies, including Apocalypse Now, Rambo, the Deer Hunter, and even references to political moments, like the last days of Bush Senior, when he threw up in the presence of the Japanese Prime Minister. Also, this movie contains possibly more Saddam-bashing than the South Park movie, so you know it's funny! If you buy the DVD version, you don't get much extra, except for a theatrical trailer and two little featurettes, but that's still good.
Overall rating: 9/10. The movie has a lot of funny moments. Some of the jokes they insert may seem rather lame, but regardless, you will laugh at least once during the movie, garunteed. And, of course, the jokes are quick and hilarious, as in:
Aide: "Sir, if Wilson finds out about this, he may use it in a campaign against you, to prove you're incompetent."
President: "I can prove that as well as he can."
