A lofty goal, but the synchronicity of the numbers was too good to pass up.
1) Pottersville - C. All over the place.
2) The Fifth Element - B+
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

3) Matilda: The Musical - B. Some of the songs don't work, but everything else is good.
4) Secrets of the Universe - B-. Weak ending; we needed an explanation of the results of the experiment, not just "it worked, yay, the end."
5) He's Just Not That Into You - C+. I think this is what Garry Marshall was trying to do with his lame holiday ensemble movies. Still not great, but better than that.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

^^How is that, anyway? I have some gaps in my movie biz, as all people do (still haven't ever seen 'Gone With the Wind'------------not sure I care, but still I feel the lack).

6) The Other Woman - B-. Better that expected, largely because they remembered that Leslie Mann is funny, but Kate Upton cannot act.
7) Ever After - B
8) Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - B+
9) The Muppet Movie - A-. Even more meta than I expected.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Space Adventure Cobra: The Movie. I was in the mood to try an old anime film, decided on something sci-fi. This was better than expected, very good. It's showing its age a bit visually, but still looks good enough.
I was actually surprised by the quality voice acting. It was very well done. The ending is just right, bitter sweet. I'd give it an 8/10.
Edit: My nostalgia tricked me into watching Donkey Kong Country: Legend of the Crystal Coconut. It's terrible, being an obnoxious cartoon movie from the 90's, but it's kind of got that "so bad it's good" quality to it.
An objective rating would be 2/10, but I'll say 4/10 because I did manage to get to the end, and some lines were funny, a couple songs kinda catchy.

10) The Great Muppet Caper - B
11) The Muppets Take Manhattan - A-
12) Muppet Treasure Island - B
13) The Lion King II: Simba's Pride - C-. Very redundant to the original, but the execution is alright.
14) Felicity: An American Girl Adventure - C. A'ight.
15) Kit Kettridge: An American Girl - C+. Cleverer than I expected.
16) Samantha: An American Girl Holiday - C+. Again, cleverer than I expected.
17) Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania - B-. Creative, but a few details here & there brought things down, most prominently the green-screen integration.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I had the night off, so I tried watching 'Zootopia'. Kept falling asleep. Maybe I tries it on again some other time when I'm better rested.

^It's a good flick, but it is NOT a typical kids-film overstimulation fest, so being better rested will help.
18) Muppets from Space - C+. Kinda disappointing; the pacing is awful.
19) The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants - C+. Better than I expected.
20) The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 - D+. Worse than I expected.
21) Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret - A-. Utterly delightful, I highly recommend.
22) Andre - B-
23) Twister - B
24) VeggieTales: An Easter Carol - C
25) Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always - C+. Really wish the girl playing Minh was a better actress.
26) Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century - C
27) Luck of the Irish - C-
28) The Big Store - C+
I need to pick up my pace here.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I saw The Super Mario Bros. Movie, it was good, really good. I got over the voices much easier than I expected to. The humor was well done, and the action scenes were mostly great. They nailed the music and sound design.
For complaints, I think they should've had Peach be kidnapped instead of Luigi, like in the game, and tone down the whole "girlboss" thing they had going with her. The last fight was a bit disappointing too. The redesigns for Mario & Peach just didn't look quite right to me either, it was a tad distracting (more than the voices).
I'd give it a solid 9/10; while not perfect, the entertainment value was high, the pacing was perfect too. It was mercifully bereft of anything controversial, and it had some pretty wholesome moments.
I think there's going to be a sequel too, the after credits sequence hints at it, and the film did very well, so I'm looking forward to it. This was the first movie I've seen in theater since before Covid, I think.

29) Rush Hour - A-
30) Rush Hour 2 - B
31) Saving Christmas (2014) - F. My wife's compulsive need to watch every Christmas movie she ever sees is hurting my soul.
32) Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 - A. Absolutely beautiful closure to these characters' arcs.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I put 'Toy Story 4' on earlier to fall asleep to, and it did its job----------I remember dippy little Luxo Jr's second bounce, and the rest is a mystery.

I'd rather not have my childhood vandalized as I dream lol

Pffft. I vandalise my own childhood for fun.
The other night, bored at work, I imagined Sebulba writing a savage, libellous tell-all book in which he claims Anakin cheated to win the Boonta Eve Classic, and Darth Vader being really irrationally upset by it, and it made me laugh really hard.
...I think I feel a fanfic coming on...

Time to resurrect that hilarious fanfic thread we had, we need to see this.
So I watched Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero's dub for the first time. I didn't check the credits but it seems like they changed Pan's voice actor, which sucks. Great movie still.

...i can't decide whether it would be funnier to have vader do another huge 'no' or just vent about it to grand moff tarkin, who clearly couldn't give less of a crap
or both
[EDIT: ahaha, imagine if that wound up being the reason starkiller turned away from vader. 'i can't believe i ever looked up to you! you're a monster!'

...say, @Deku Tree, have you seen 'Living Daylights' yet?
I mean, I can't decide whether it or 'Goldeneye' is better. 'Goldeneye' is a little more slick, but 'Living Daylights' is flippin bonkers, and I like Timothy Dalton better as Bond. There's something dark about him. A sort of terrible silent fury. A willingness to do whatever it takes.
(EDIT: Of course the theme song isn't as good. 'Goldeneye' is sort of indefatigable, there----------Tina beats A-HA. 'Take On Me' is probably my favourite song, and even I will admit that sometimes Tina beats A-HA.)
(EDIT2: There's this song that plays all through the movie by The Pretenders. 'Where Has Everybody Gone', with Chrissie Hynde singing her ass off. That should have been who they got to do the theme-song.
...Bond-themes are better when they're sung by ladies. We all know this.
Yeah, yeah, bring up 'Live and Let Die'. Great song. But is it as good even as the theme from the stupidest Bond flick, aka 'Moonraker'? I say no. You can of course decide for yourselves.

33)
Wizard People, Dear Readers - A
34)
Beauty & the Beast (2017) - B+
35)
The Jungle Book (2016) - A-. This was really well-handled.
36)
Stargirl - B+
37)
Hollywood Stargirl - B+
Disney+ is
removing a lot of original content soon, so I'm
backing up a bunch of the good stuff watching the good stuff one last time before it disappears into the ether forever.
And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Not yet, I need to check out some more of my collection of old bond flicks. Just haven't made time to watch movies much. I watch a little TV sometimes when I exercise, so maybe once I've finished MHA I'll start on some movies.

Hey, man, it's cool. No pressure--------you actually have a life. I can dig it.
[EDIT: May I opine? The Sean Connery Bond flicks aren't very good.
As a whole, his movies are okay. He's technically a better Bond than Roger Moore, and of course he gets a cheaty bonus point for 'Never Say Never Again' (it's the 'Thunderball' that doesn't suck!), but that doesn't mean 'Diamonds are Forever' isn't kind of boring, and I literally couldn't tell you anything sensible about 'From Russia With Love' with a gun to my head ("there's...gypsies, or something? and an old lady tries kicking bond in his legs at the end?")
I'm glad the Sean Connery movies were popular enough that the franchise lived on and gave us 'Living Daylights' and 'Goldeneye'. That's a good thing. But if I have to choose between 'Goldfinger' and 'For Your Eyes Only'...'For Your Eyes Only' wins, in every department aside from theme song (FYEO is a nice song, but 'Goldfinger' is the James Bondest James Bond song ever. It's so lurid and sleazy. James Bond themes should be kind of nasty and sketch. I don't understand why they stopped having the unclothed ladies dancing around during the opening credits------------that 'Goldeneye' theme would ooze sex even if there were no naked gals writhing).
[EDIT2: Oh, for the love of pete. Is the swordfight literally the only good part of 'Die Another Day'?
I'm taking a stroll through the Bond themes, and, you know, ups and downs, but 'Die Another Day' is the first one that flatly sucks. What in God's name were they thinking? I could puke myself hollow. Fools.
