I don't get people who hated Reloaded. Reloaded was simply awesome, and a perfect middle to the trilogy. However...
*spoilers below*
It's obvious that Reloaded was the set-up while Revolutions was the action. Revolutions was very good...still deciding on a final opinion. But it was more action and less talk. The symbolism and philosophy was still there, although more hidden than it was in Reloaded. The ending was great. It was done so it wasn't cliched but wasn't really sad either. Think about it- what was really accomplished?

Reloaded was pretty good, not as good as the first though.

My first thought when Revolutions was over was "I wasted my cash on THIS?" I'm a big Matrix fan... and I must say I was very disappointed. Looking back, I can see that it was okay... a good movie. However, it wasn't a good ending to a series. There were a ton of great things they could have done, which they didn't.
First of all... what was the importance of Bane? Yes, yes, I got that he was Smith in the second movie, but he honestly didn't do anything. Sure, he "blinded" Neo, but Neo could still see... it was pretty stupid. Though I can already tell you that, more than likely, people will sue for Revolutions giving them "seizures".
Another thing I didn't really think was necessary was the whole Trinity death scene. Could that have been ANY longer? First of all, it was pretty damned obvious that she was dead before Neo noticed. Second of all... "Neo... I'm dying. See? I'm dead. I'm dying. Dead... dyyyiiinggg... the first time I died, I wished one thing.... oooonnnneee tttthhhiiinnnggg... *two hours later* KISS ME, NEO!!! KISS ME!!!" Two words: Time Consuming.
Third of all, this crap about them "not having any more EMP" was totally stupid. I get that they have to recharge the EMP before using it again, but when did they use up the EMPs on ALL of their hovercrafts? Taking out solitary targets? Don't waste your EMP on that... which brings me to the fourth, and perhaps most contradictory, point.
Where the HELL were the Nebuchadnezzar's GUNS in the first movie??? It was being attacked by FOUR freaking squiddies and nearly was destroyed. The Hammer held off a THOUSAND of them while flying "mechanical" through a thin pipe. WTF? And don't give me any crap about the Nebuchadnezzar being an "older model". Just don't. The Hammer's been around just as long. We all know the problem: The Matrix was originally intended to be a solitary movie.
And what the HELL was up with that whole Mister Smith vs. Neo scene? Whoever choreographed that was high. "I... I see it... I'm standing right here... and I say... I say... 'Everything that has a beginning has an end.' No! That's not what I say!" Mr. Smith is still an awesome character, but I lost some respect for him right there. And the ending with the whole Matrix-changy-thing still has me confused. Why the HELL would anyone WANT to stay in the Matrix after being told the truth??? It makes UTTERLY no sense... wouldn't they want to live in "peace" with the machines?
Can't wait for the sequel. And don't tell me there's not going to be one. There is.

I think you misunderstood the ending. The people who were plugged in are still plugged in; no one knows the truth but those in Zion. The importance of Bane was mainly to illustrate the connection between the machine world and the human world. First of all, if Smith can get out through Bane, if the Matrix crashed he would get out in every person he copied himself over. And him being blind brought out Neo's connection with the machines more.

Yeah it was a bit long, but what do you expect? The climaxes of the first two movies both had to do with thier love for one another. Her dying is a big deal.

I don't really know what you're complaining about. If The Matrix was origionally supposed to be one movie(though it was supposed to be a trilogy almost from the beginning), and then they changed it, what's wrong with providing an explination for no guns, ie. an older model? Can you think of something better?

He saw it with his "oracle powers." He was trying to understand the vision so he would know what to do to end it all.

The only problem with the matrix is that it was a form of control. If you're given a choice as to whether or not you can live in the matrix the machines aren't doing anything wrong. I imagine many would want to stay in the matrix, as it seems much more comfortable than the real world.
