We just got one a couple of months ago, and it's like switching to DSL from 56k; I don't know if I could go back to taping stuff again.
The only problem is we got the 35 hour one instead of the 100 hour, and there never seems to be enough space. I guess it's cause I don't watch TV all the time, so it could be weeks before I finally get around to watching something I recorded, but I've always got a ton of stuff recorded that I haven't watched yet.
