Cannot be broken, and if will make its way back to Gerad under most circumstances if lost.
Steel Shield - A medium sized shield made out of steel. Used to parry and to guard against attacks.

-------------------------------------------------------

It was only a few months ago when the war began. When it did, you like many other mercenaries gathered their weapons and went off hoping for wealth or glory from the battlefields. You traveled towards Tarinth and joined up with them, getting a rather large sum of gold for your services, with promises of more as long as you remained with them.

You were assigned to a fairly small army, and are currently within a camp past the Tarinth-Gerann border, hidden within the woods of Gerann. It's fairly close to a fortress that was set up by Gerann, which has a sizable army standing guard over it. Your camp has been observing them for several days, and is currently waiting to attack- you received word from Tarinth that they're attacking soon and that you're to join them.

The camp is beyond the sight of the soldiers at the fortress, but for the past few days everyone has been cautious to not give the away the camp's location. There aren't any more than 30 soldiers at the camp, and it seems most of them are either scouts and archers or common soldiers for battle. The camp is led by an archer named Ridal Teirson, who's currently speaking to the other soldiers.

You're currently by yourself and all of the other soldiers are preparing for battle.

(Forgot to mention it, can I have a shield as well, just a normal one?)

I'll listen to Ridal speak to the soldiers.

Have I already introduced myself to the camp yet?

. . . Eh... I probably should have paid more attention to stuff before agreeing to run this, considering I've lost most of my notes having to do with everything. I'll try and continue if you still want, but I'll probably be winging most of it. <_<

Sure, I'll add a shield. As far as your status at the camp: Pretty much everyone knows you're a mercenary and a couple of them know of your name.

You walk over towards Ridal and the other soldiers; he seems to have been talking about the attack in more detail. He notices you approach and greets you.

"Ah, Gerad. I was going over the info we have on the enemy in preparation for the attack tomorrow. From what we've seen of them, I'd estimate around a hundred troops; but with Tarinth sending more soldiers this way, their number advantage isn't going to help much. The main problem is that they have mostly archers and that they'll probably all be protected by the fort. Its defenses don't look too tough, but they'll certainly make things harder for us considering arrows won't do much against that."

A soldier speaks up. "So, what are we doing to get past it then? What's our strategy for the fight?"

Ridal shakes his head and sighs. "I wouldn't be able to say. Unfortunately I'm not leading the charge; a commander by the name of Hiloth is. Personally, this whole thing kind of bothers me. I don't know much of the man and he's yet to send any word since the order to attack was given."

If you don't wanna run it that's fine. Are you actually interested in Legend of the Slayers? Seems kind of pointless now.
