Ability: Static: When a Pokemon comes in contact with Mareep, it has a 30% chance of being paralyzed.

William grew up most of his young life in Cherrygrove City, althought uts name is misleading, his 'city' is actually much more like a town, only a couple houses and not even a gym around to make it of any real interest for passing trainers or tourists. A life like this can make a boy want more, to go out and become strong and see the world, and William was no different.

It was early one day and William was excited, because his father would be coming home today. His father delivered many items all across the region of Johto, and even so often had to cross into the Kanto region, so somethings it could be days before William would see his dad again, but on this day, his father only had to make a quick trip into Violet City, and would be home to see him! William was also excited because he had already told his father he wanted to go out, to adventure with his own Pokemon, and his father had promised him a special surprise through a letter only a few days ago.

Finally, William's father entered his home, all smiles as his son ran up and gave him a big hug. Like any other boy, William tried desperately to make conversation with his father, but eventually blurted out about his surprise, eager and anxious to recieve it.

"Surprise, eh? I don't recall any . . ." his father started, teasing him and bringing a pout to William's face, only to have his father pull out a Pokeball, handing it to his son, "here you go, champ."

William jumped for joy, as he called out of the ball what would be his first Pokemon, the Pokemon his father gave him. the ball began to glow, and rustle before spilling out its red light taking shape before their very eyes.

"I wanted to get you something better . . . I did . . . but," William's father started, only to be stopped by a childlike call for joy, as William say what his Pokemon was, a wooly, large coated electric sheep Pokemon, Mareep!

William was excited to get his journey going as soon as possible! He could stay and talk to his father some more, or exit the house, where there is another house in the corner, as well as a Pokemon Center and a PokeMart. Other then that, William could travel East onto Route 29, or North to Route 30.

Williams travels East onto Route 29, its a long path with a many cliffs and patches of tall grass. As William walks he passes through a large area of tall grass, noticing several objects moving around him, only to move off in another firection and ignore him. He takes a couple steps out of the first ptahc, and looks around, if he jumped down the small cliffs he could get across Route 29 with minimal travels into long grass, or he could just stay on the set pass, which would mean travelling into many patches of the possibly Pokemon infested grassy knolls . . .

I'll stay on the path.

Across three more thick, grassy knolls, William could onyl hear the Pokemon chirping or growling around him, but they all seemed to be distracted by one thing or another. Finally, William could see the next town over, as only one patch of grass was between him and it.

However, as William stepped into the last patch, something suddenly shuddered, and chirped angrily, a flash of wings and a show of feathers, as a wild Pidgey flew from the grass, Mareep moving quickly to put itself between it and its master.

Mareep LV5 VS Pidgey LV4 (17/17)

Before Mareep could even bay at the Pidgey, it lashed forward with a furious tackle attack, slamming itself against the sheep-shaped Pokemon and knocking it back, causing 3 points of damage to the Mareep.

However, something seemed to be terribly wrong with Pidgey as it tried to fly up again, it squawked and shuddered, its body seeming heavy and hard to move.

Mareep's Static caues Paralysis on Pidgey!

Keep tackling till it faints, then keep going.

Mareep rears back and bays strongly, ramming itself forward and banging itself against the Pidgey's body, causing it 4 points of damage! (HP: 13/17)

Pidgey tries to move enough to attack, but squawks painfully as its body is wracked with paralysis.

Mareep runs forward again and pulls up, tackling by using its small front hooves to slam the pidgey down for 4 points of damage! (HP: 9/17)

Pidgey finally flaps its wings hard enougfh to deliver another tackle, slapping its talons against Mareep's head, doing 3 points of damage! (HP: 15/21)

Mareep repeated its attack, slapping the Pidgey with the side of its head, doing 5 points of damage! (HP: 4/17)

Moving through its paralysis, Pidgey raked its claws across Mareep's head againf or 3 points of damage! (HP: 12/21)

Seeing the Pidgey is struggling, Mareep finally launches forward and knocks the Pidgey out of the sky, it falling into the deep grass, defeated! (HP: 0/17)

Mareep defeated the Pidgey! As the Pidgey falls, mareep suddenly looks stronger, baying and kicking excitedly!

Mareep gains a level! Mareep LV6 (HP: 14/23)

William pushed forward, he could see what looked like a rather large laboratory over the next patch of grass, nearly out of it, when a new creature suddenly started to lash, then what seemed to be a very fuzzy Pokemon bounced up, balanced on its tail, ears wiggling with a happy look on its face, as it squeaked and churred, anxious and excited to battle!

Mareep LV6 (HP: 14/23) VS Sentret LV3 (HP: 15/15)

Despite its small size and eagerness, Mareep leaps out, ready to charge, it easily able to claim the first hit!

Constant Tackle... If Mareep's Health drops to where an attack by Sentret would KO it I'll run.

Mareep rammed forward, bashing its head against the Sentret's body, delivering 5 points of damage! (HP: 10/15)

Sentret chirrped out cutely, even from the hit, and from its place on the tip of its tail, tilted forward and scrape its claws against Mareep in a Scratch attack! Mareep took 3 points of damage! (HP: 11/23)

Mareep counters the attack with another tackle, doing another 5 points of damage, the Sentret starting to look weak. (HP: 5/15)

The Sentret suddenly pulls its body back, and flings forward like a rocket, claws raking deep into Mareep's body, meeting hard for a critical hit! Mareep suffers 6 points of damage! (HP: 5/23)

Mareep bays hard and runs forward, smacking itself into the Sentret and knocking it clear away, finishing it off, its wounds causing it a little pain though, as it seems out of breath.

Finally, William exited the tall grass and finally entered the next town, he was shocked to see it was even smaller then his own town of Cherrygrove. His father had told him of a town to the East though . . . a famous Prof. lived here . . . ah, this was New Bark Town!

New Bark Town had three houses, as well as the lab he had noticed before, that must be where the Prof. was. Sadly, there was no Pokemon Center in this town . . . hopefully, there might be somewhere his Mareep could get a little rest.

"The lab probably has something I could heal Mareep with."

William enters the lab. he looked around astonished at the surroundings. There was what had to be the Prof. over in the coner, as well as a couple assistants running back and forth, moving papers and Pokeballs onto shelves and into cabinets.

in the other corner there seemed to be a rather large machine, with six holes cut in that were perfectly shaped for PokeBalls, though it may be a good idea to talk to the Prof. or one of his assistants first.

I'll talk to an assistant, and then to the proffessor if he isn't too busy.

"Hello, I'm William. Is that machine in the back like the ones used at the pokemon center? If it is, could I use it? My pokemon is pretty hurt."

he assistant only looks up for a moemnt before grumbling, "I'm very busy, please leave me alone."

Prof. Elm looks up and it a lot nicer then his assistant, "why hello there! You're a trainer right? Oh . . . of course, you just said you needed to use the PokeCenter device I have here, you're free to use it . . . but I would also like to ask you a favor. North of Cherrygrove City a friend of mine lives, and i was hoping you could give him this . . ."

William recieves Elm's Parcel!

"Of course i wouldn't ask you to do this for me for free . . . but for now, just talk to my assistant again, I'm sure he'll give you something that you will find useful!."

"Uh, hi again. Elm said you might have something to help me out for an errand he gave me."

The assistant looked up, fretting now that he has been disturbed again, grunting as he roughly hands over a bunch of small orbs toward William's hands. "Here, take them!"

William recieved 5 Pokeballs!

"Thank you"

Guess I'll go do the errand then. Leave town and head west.

Heading west, William could see a large pathway, covered in thick patches of tall grass again. About halfway through the first patch of grass, something chirps out and pops up, blocking William's way, sitting up on its big, plush tail and bobbing slightly back and forth, a wide smile on its face. Another Sentret, looking happy to play in the battle, as Mareep charges out and bays at it.

Mareep LV6 HP: 23/23 VS Sentret LV3 HP: 16/16

Like before, Mareep easily moves in for the first attack faster then the little Sentret can.

Mareep bayed at the Santret and jogged forward strongly, hitting it hard with the crown of its head for 5 points of damage! (HP: 11/16)

The little Sentret bobbled while on its tail, shaking it head from the blow, before it leans forward and slashed its claws against the Mareep's thick, wooly coat! Mareep took 3 points of damage! (HP: 20/23)

The Sentret screeches as its body starts to convulse, the static in Mareep's coat paralyzing it! Mareep's Statis caused paralysis on Sentret!

Seeing an opporunity to strike, mareep rams itself forward quickly, causing another 5 points of damage! (HP: 6/16)

Gripped in paralysis, it takes a second longer for the Sentret to move, but quickly bobbles forward and rakes its claws against Mareep again, causing another 3 points of damage! (HP: 17/23)
