Feel free to make up whatever you want when you speak and act. Unless you tell me you're lying, bluffing or whatever, or I've already established otherwise, I'll assume its true.
In terms of actions, on your turn. Describe your attacks, your intended defense, and any movement you want to make.
Strong spells take up the entire round, meaning you can't make any movement actions. You can't move while drawing a symbol or sketch either.
In terms of narration, I'll describe the situation, usually leave a place for you to give input, and then based on your perception, give you information on the situation, like distance between you and someone or something, what you have or don't have time to act or react to, etc. If you need or want information, you can ask for it, or if you don't like being provided information I can stop giving it. (for those who dont' like help)

------------
A beautiful young woman sits quietly as the sun sets, working hard to capture the colors, shapes and feel of the beauty of her surroundings. As her paintbrush moves over the canvas, she makes it all come to life, with an almost magical quality. The sound of cracking twigs and leaves interrupts her concentration. Two cloaked figures stand by some trees, one with sword drawn, one with bow drawn.
A male voice calls out from under the archer's hood. "Woman. We've two hundred soldiers in the woods, ready to take the village nearby. Cooperate with us, and your life shall be spared and possibly the lives of everyone in the village. Deny us, and your life shall be forfeit. We know that your village only has about 50 capable soldiers. All you need to do is forfeit any equipment and money, and not interfere with us.
Will you cooperate?"
You are sitting in a clearing to get a good view of the sunset. Your bow and backpack are next to you. It's getting constantly darker as the sun goes down. You figure with your skill with the bow, you estimate you can hit either one without a problem. Unfortunately, the swordsman is close enough where he could cover the distance before you drew a second arrow, and you can only get one arrow before the archer fired. You figure that you could grab your bow and backpack and run if you need to. If you run, your painting will either be left behind or ruined if you take it(it's turning out to be a nice painting as well), and if you grabbed the painting you would leave your bow and backpack behind.

You grab your stuff. You manage to get your bow over your shoulder and your pack on in a couple of seconds, and pick up the painting and run.
The archer curses audilbly and fires the bow, missing by inches, the arrow sticking out of the tree you had been sitting by. As you run, painting in hand, the paint, which hadn't quite dried yet begins to run, starting to mess up the painting.
You can hear the archer and the swordsman start to run after you.
You can see the path that leads between your village and the neighboring village up ahead (about 20 yards ahead of you. Your moving slightly faster than the guards are. You figure you can lose them if you stay in the woods, but they may be able to catch up if you make it on the path and can't get back to the village before them.
