Guardian Tsuki

#1

Post by KirbyBoy2000 » Wed May 17, 2006 9:03 pm

Name: Tsuki Zoroaster
Age: 16
Gender: M
Bio/Goals: Orphened at a young age, Tsuki has been living with an old family friend for most of his life, relying on him as a father and mentor. Soon in his life it was discovered he had taken after his deceased father's magical traits of Chaos Magic, an ability of magic that allows himself to absorb shards of chaotic energy released when enemies use special attacks and form them as abilities of his own. A rare magic it is also fatal, for once the chaos matures enough within a spellholder, he'll lose his mind and body to it, becoming a monster himself. He has to hope to do what the bloodline of his family could never do and find the way to keep his mind and body intact, even if it would mean giving up his abilities. Standing at 5'11" Tsuki is a young male with a thin build, with spiked hair of black and grey tipped, one blue eye and one black one. His facial features are narrow, complimenting his body type well. His clothed of choice are a pair of small steel gauntlets as well as steel leg armor leading down to thick, black boots with steel toes. He wears a shirt of black silk, pants in red, and a large black cloak that hands from his shoulders.

Tsuki looks at the surroundings, already feeling small against the official atmosphere surrounding him. He decides he needs some air before he starts any of his work, so he exits to explore the region.

You head out into the wilderness... if one could call it that, as there doesn't seem to be any monsters around. Its pretty much plains as far as you can see.

Some of the areas around here are...
1) Trelorat Forest - A large forest to the east of the continent, eventually leads into the country of Talross towards the northwest. About a 3 day walk on foot.
2) Remai Peaks - A small mountain range to the north of the continent. The mountains are home to various monsters, though also houses many valuable resources. There is also a fairly large city at the foot of the mountains. About a 7 day walk.
3) Illseid - A moderate sized village along the western coast of the the continent. About a 2 day walk on foot.
4) Felaan - The capital of the country of Felaros, located in the central region of the continent; various peoples from all over visit here daily. About a 4 day walk on foot.

You re-enter the base and go to recieve your mission, travelling into a fairly large room, and then into the office of a high ranked member.

Guardian Sophis: Hmm, you are?
Tsuki: Tsuki Zoroaster, I just joined the Guardians.
Sophis: Ah, so I take it you're here for a mission then? Alright, here are some low level ones we have right now.

1) Extermination - Some monsters have been spotted around the Illseid region, most of the ones reported are all fairly low leveled monsters. Difficulty - Low/Mid. Reward - Low.
2) Missing Item - A citizen in Felaan has lost an item and wants help finding it. He says its a rare heirloom in his family, so he's willing to pay highly for it. Difficulty - Low/Mid. Reward - Medium.
3) Delivery - A citizen in Remai wants to deliver an item to his friend who lives by the Trelorat Forest. He wants the delivery to be made fairly quickly, as its for his friends birthday in a couple of days. Difficulty - Mid. Reward - Medium.

Tsuki considers each assignment . . . trying to decide the best route to take. Finally, after long though he nods, "Extermination, that one interests me . . . is there anything else you can tell me about the situation?"

Sophis: Eh, I don't know much, just what they told us about it. Most of the monsters that are still around are pretty weak and are usually pretty tame, so they should be easy enough to get rid of. . . Wait, do you have any equipment or anything like that?
Tsuki: Not really.
Sophis: Well, okay then. Here's 500gp, you can use that to buy some things at the shop.
Tsuki: Thank you.

You leave the room.

Obtaining the funds to start himself off it was short thought before Tsuki decided to get himself properly equipped at the shop before going off to prove himself in his first mission.

Although all would seem helpful, basic equipment, weapons and armor, would probably be the best place to look at the moment.

It takes quite a bit of time for Tsuki to decide on all his wears to start out with, but after a long delay he purchases the Long Sword, Studded leather, Cloth Helm, Leather Gloves, Leather Boots, Leather Bracer, and Wood Amulet for 440 GP.

You head to the stables, there are various different types of animals, birds, dragons, and more. Here are some of the more common ones, ask if you want more. You don't need to pay right up, so if you want, you could rent it untill you get paid for the mission.

Horse - A common animal that has been domesticated for use in travel primarily. 30gp per day.
Aygom - An odd fish like creature found in the seas of Letos. Its a very peaceful creature that is easy to tame. 20gp per day, travel by sea only.
Griffin - A mix between an eagle and lion, fairly agressive and hard to tame. Travels through flight. 50gp per day.
Gorra - A large lizard like creature that originates from the deserts of Gradd. It is able to travel long distances in harsh conditions, though it cannot move quickly. 50gp per day.
Quillas - A large fox like creature, with large ears and a long tail. It can travel at incredible speeds and is fairly unaggressive, though difficult to tame. 50gp per day.

Tsuki nods, "A horse to Illseid will be fine, its only a two day walk, so I don't need anything to exquisite for such a short journey."

Nothing else I take it?

Anyway, you hop onto your horse and then ride toward Illseid, making it there within a couple of hours. You arrive without running into much trouble, and enter the city. You talk to a group of people in the city and ask them about the monsters in the region.

Guy: The monsters around here? They're mostly weak, but their pretty annoying. They come out mostly at night and from the north. I think they all come from the same area, but I'm not sure where it is exactly.

The north . . . Tsuki wondered how close it was to evening, deciding he should start trvelling north a bit to see if he can find anything that could help him in his mission.

You travel north for a while, you don't see much most of the way untill you run into a small forested area around the time the sun goes down. Shortly after you see some small monsters come out of the forest and begin to head south.

"They must be the monsters I heard about." Not wasting any time Tsuki charges after them, ready to engage them before they were able to get to Illseid.
