There are six people immediately surrounding you, three males and three females. There is a tough-looking teenage boy lying dead in the dust. A young, beautiful girl with a hard look on her face is cowering behind one of the males, who is fighting a large, dangerous-looking man. The third male and a second female have gone back-to-back, looking out for trouble, but they seem more concerned than aggressive. The last female is in full flight, sprinting south towards a jungle area.
What do you want to do?

Curcle behind the dangerous looking man who is fighting the man with the girl cowering behind him. Join with him and strike the dangerous looking man with the Stick at his neck.

You circle around him and hit him in the back of the head, hard. The dangerous-looking man goes limp and crumples to the ground.
Do what?

Steal his Stick, and press my Ring to his heart.

(I'm gonna wait for Singularity's response, since at this point you're both taking action concerning the same thing at the same time. If he hasn't posted by Saturday, I'll make something up, to keep the game moving.)

Heh, I'm sorry. But it's not fair to him if he doesn't post for a day or two and he finds that you've stolen his kill and made off with his party or something, so... dunno.

You bend down and take his stick, then you press your ring to his heart. You feel a sensation of growing, of extending your limits, but there is empty space between your capacity and where you are now. A spectral version of the cadaver rises, straining to remain in the body it inhabited but failing. Here is the force that will fill you up, let you reach your new bounds. And are there further bounds? Is there greater power?
You look at your hands, perhaps expecting to see some blue pulse of energy. Instead you see two bloody knives on the end of each limb. Each blade has the word "Tonnhart" written on it in running red fluid. The letters mix together and there is a wet, sanguineous sensation where your hands used to be. You start to scream, but then the appendages revert to their normal form. You have a stick in each, an effulgent ruby-colored ring on one finger, and a distinct lack of the red stuff all around. You look up and see the man who was fighting the fellow you just slew (Tonnhart, you think), as well as the attractive young girl. The body of the boy that Tonnhart killed rests a few feet away.
Do what?
Also, you got a new spell, Dragoon. You leap high into the air and land for more damage. 10 MP per turn. You can do it for one turn or two turns. For each turn, you get a little more damage.

There seems to be no other choice, but to talk to the mysterious Tonnhart.

Er... Tonnhart's the guy you just killed. You're not sure about the man or the woman in front of you.

<oh, sorry, slight confusion>
The best thing to do is to look at my surroundings, to see what options I have.

The man and the woman in front of you are regarding you, eyes focused. There is another pair, also a man and a woman, heading east onto a path up a mountain. To the west is the gate, now barred and locked with both magic and mundane holds; to the east is the mountain path; to the south is a jungle, which you think you just catch something disappearing into; to the north is a putrid swamp.
Do what?

Thinking the mountains would contain the least amount of hidden surprises, expecially less then a dense jungle or a dark swamp, Mateus makes off into the mountains at a full sprint.

You sprint off towards the mountain. The man and woman who were not fighting Tonnhart look back at you and ready their sticks, alarmed. You still have a slight feeling of hollowness, but it will pass very soon. Those two have taken a position on a slightly steeper part of the path, putting them on the higher ground and giving them a little advantage should you choose to attack. The man tentatively begins to speak.
Man: Hello... are you going to attack us? We'll fight, know that. And we've the higher ground.
Do what?
(By the way, I won't be here all weekend. Sorry. I'll probably update Tuesday, as I'll be getting back on Monday really late, probably won't be in the mood.)

Although at a disadvantage, the terrain could prove useful, if its a steep climb getting up its also a steep climb getting down. Mateus engages the man and woman.
Since getting too close at this point would be risky, and most likely put him in a position to be double teamed, Mateus will use Dragoon to attack the man, a leaping attack being fast to strike without any regard to the terrain.

You leap high into the air. You estimate yourself to be twenty feet above the heads of your foes, and you are still rising. However, you sense that unless you expend more magic force, you will begin descending very shortly. Looking down, you see that the man and the woman have split up. They are now several feet apart. You are more or less directly above the head of the man, despite the fact that your initial jump would have landed in what is now empty space. You suppose the spell tracks the intended target.
Do what? (You can go higher and spend more MP, or descend and attack.)

Deciding that making the first hit count as much as possible, Mateus decides to ascend even higher into the air for more power, as well as to make sure the male is on target.

I've been... uh... busy... no, that'd be lying. Lazy.
Anyway, June 1-June 5 is like four days, thank you.
IC:
You continue to soar. The two below you hold their positions and look upwards.
You plummet towards the male. He sidesteps, but you follow. You bring your stick down into him as you hit the ground. Although your mind expects a slamming impact, your legs feel it no more than if you'd taken a step forward on level ground. You hear something break within your foe, but he's not quite out of it. The woman charges in, and he attempts to get up. You're fast, though; you think you could get another hit in on either one if you wanted.
Do what?
