The Great-Land of Sarsor, the largest continent in the Great World, touched by three of seven of the Great-Waters, the Griffin’s Tongue to the east, the Angel’s Crest to the north, and, the largest, the Dragon’s Quell, to the south and west. Although formidable both in size and power, Sarsor had been locked away from the remaining three Great-Lands, looked down upon for their sense of superiority, they’re sense of self-proclaimed Gods Given leadership, held at arms length in a hope that the need to control and restrain would simply fall back onto itself, back from the shores into the center of Sarsor, where they could chain an whip themselves, force each other into submission and leave the rest of them out of it.

The government in Sarsor had always been strong-willed but fair, if a bit war-hungry, from a long blood-line of royalty that had gone unstopped for near 1000 years, until just ten years ago when the new child emperor, who at the time was barely seven, was mysteriously murdered in his own bedchambers. From the fallen royal line a new king arose, proclaiming himself an ancient relative to the royal bloodline, and rightful heir to the throne, being as there was no one of purer blood to oppose him (those who could oppose had mysteriously disappeared).

The King, who’s name was Lord (the “Lord” part was self-proclaimed, as he thought “King” was a bit too much) Helios, soon made his first and greatest proclamation less then a year after his crowning:

“All Magick is to be abolished! All Mages who will not comply will be forced into shackles, all Spirit-Masters who will not comply will be forced into chains . . . and all Mytho-Users who will not comply will be sought out and executed upon immediate capture! The time of Magick will soon be ended, and the time of science, of Alchemy, will be the new Magick!"

Up to that point, Magick had always been a ground-stone, a foundation, in all ways of life. Magicked Raced like the Winged rebelled, and those like the Elvaans who held so much spirit in the Earth and Woods soon followed. Others, though, such as the large and brutish Oxyn, allied with Lord Helios, as Magick had never been a deciding factor in their lives. As a result Sarsor fell into a civil war, a civil war that had lasted for 9 years . . . a civil war that still rages in Sarsor to this very day . . .

~

Premise: A Fantasy RPG where you pick a side, race, job, and element and then play in this civil war, starting either in the war, as a resister, or even at peace in some remote part of the continent.

Sides:

The Republic of Royalists: Codename the “Republic”, those who stay loyal to the Royal command and who fight for Lord Helios. Mostly pure warriors, there are semi-mages that make up this army, those who use very limited Magick and only use it responsibly.

The Union of Rebels: Codename the “Union”, those who oppose the Royalists and believe strongly in the right to use Magicks. Many are strong Mages and Spirit-Users, and will rely more often on their Magick arts then any physical prowess.

The Resisters: Codename the “Resistance”, those who are opposed or uninterested in either side.

Races:

Human: Homo-Sapiens, there are many of this race on all sides. They have the capability to perform any job, and to enter into either side without immediate attack. They excel best at jobs that require both Magicks and Warrior Skills, specifically the Semis, but can perform any job well.

Winged: A very Magicked race who nearly all side with the Union. They appear as very thing and pale humans with long white wings, white hair, and red eyes. Their bodies are usually covered in carved runes and tattoos to enhance their power. They excel as Mages.

Elvaan: A Spirited race who usually side with the Union. They are tall and lean, with tan skin and usually dark hair and eyes, with, of course, pointy ears. They excel as Spirit-Masters.

Oxyn: A very strong and non-Magick race who nearly all side with the Republic. They are large and thick with muscles with ridges of dark scales running down their face and over their skin, with sunken eyes and rust-red hair. They excel in Warrior Skills.

Elements:

Earth: Strong against Wood but weak against Metal.

Fire: Strong against Metal but weak against Water.

Water: Strong against Fire but weak against Wood.

Metal: Strong against Earth but weak against Fire.

Wood: Strong against Water but weak against Earth.

Jobs:

This is more or less and open category, Mages can include things like White Mages, Sages, and Black Mages. Semis are more like Red Mages, and Dark Knights who use but physical and magick attacks. Spirit-Masters are those who use life around around (those with spirits) like Morphers, Blue Mages, and Beastmasters. Warriors are those, of course, who use no magick, like Defenders, Fighters, and Monks. Mytho-Users are a bit different, they use Mythical Beasts in their skills, jobs that are Mytho-Users would include Summoners (who summon great beasts) and Dragoons (who summon or use Dragon powers)

Those who are interested please take a moment to create a character, choose a Side, a Race, an Element, and a Job. I will putting my own Bio up shortly.
