You use Sword Charger. All sword attacks deal +50% damage for the next five rounds.

Byrgeld uses Intimidate on Dark. Succeeds. Dark is dazed.

Mercenary Guard 1 attacks Bandit 2. Deals 800 damage.

Mercenary Guard 2 attacks Bandit 2. Deals 800 damage.

Mage 1 (one of the girls) uses Ignite on Dark's Iron Longsword. All attacks with that weapon deal +100 fire damage for five rounds.

Mage 2 (the other girl) uses Summon Wolf. Calls a gray wolf.

Gray Wolf bites Bandit 2. Deals 400 damage. Bandit 2 falls!

Your turn. You are dazed.

Bandit 3 attacks Gray Wolf. Deals 550 damage.

Bandit 4 attacks Mercenary Guard 1. Deals 550 damage.

Bandit 5 attacks Mercenary Guard 1. Deals 550 damage.

Bandit 6 attacks Mage 2. Deals 550 damage.

Bandit 7 attacks Mage 2. Deals 550 damage.

Mercenary Guard 1's HP: About 1200
Mage 2's HP: About 300
Byrgeld's MP: 1300/1500
Bandits' HP: About 2100

You hear a popping sound, a lot like the one you heard when you first got the blood note, and notice a little flash. Reminded of the note, you take it out. It reads: Place hand onto symbol to teleport back to headquarters. There's a small symbol, a white snowflake with red drops falling from it. Do what? (It's your turn again in the battle, so you could stick around and see it through, or just get out of here.)

Battle ended. You gain +95 EXP, and manage to quickly scrounge up 100 gold from Byrgeld. (He has more, but you don't have time to take it all now.) You place your hand on the symbol and are teleported back to headquarters.

Mission complete!

You gain +150 EXP. -10 for not taking a few obvious opportunities (say, while you were keeping watch) but you still level. Split 250 between your stats and 200 between HP and MP. Also choose a new move for your Secondary Focus. +1 Proficiency in your Primary Focus. Level 3 Combat Proficiency: You now get one extra move per turn in battles. (Not surprise round, though.)

^Just tell me +(number) (stat), like +100 Force and +150 Agility. And also your new move has to be a Stealth thing, since it has to do with your Secondary Focus.

That's not exactly "stealth", really. Stealth's like sneaking around and picking locks and stuff. I can take that if you want, but it's sort of a stretch.

The paper blinks out of existence momentarily; almost immediately, it (or another exactly like it) returns to your hand, once more perfectly folded. It's heavier than the other was. Unfolding it, you find five 100-gold pieces falling in your hand. When they're off of the paper, you look at it again and read: Conn Dragon-Sword. In the lower right hand corner, you see 800 gold written. Do what? (You have 500 more gold, if you weren't sure. I updated your stats.)
