If that works I'll jump up, slam the hatch behind me, and prepare to just plow a dagger into the face of whichever guard may be stupid enough to follow.

Er, I had you shutting the trapdoor... just kinda figured you would. I can go edit that if you want, I guess... although it's kind of cheating. Drift will take you pretty high. It got you to the roof from the ground, it can definitely take you there from the second floor. You can take some time to open the door, but if it ends up taking too long they might get reach you and get stabby.

You're in the same room... er... hallway, you never left the hallway you came down into.

You use Double Strike. Deals 2725 damage. Guard 1 falls! (Yes, that was only your first attack. Attacks do a lot more damage in the Surprise Round. Since you have Stealth/Combat, they do an insane amount more. It depends mostly on Agility, and a little on your weapon.)

You quickly appraise your surroundings. The downward stairway is to your left. In front of you is a large chamber that seems to serve as a big hallway. The door the guards came from is on a wall ahead of you and to your right. There's a door on the far wall, and another ahead of you and to your left. You hear some people stirring from within that last door. Do what?

Oh! Actually, you leveled up. Split 250 between your stats and 200 between HP and MP. Also choose a new move for your Secondary Focus. +1 Proficiency in your Primary Focus. Due to being Stealth Prof. 4, you can no longer be surprised, and you gain a second action in the Surprise Round.

If there were any large trunks in the first room, I'll take the guards and shove them in there. But if there weren't, I'll open up the door the guards came from and hide them along with myself in there

As for leveling up.

+150 to mana
+50 to health
+100 to dominance
+100 to force
+50 to Agility

Eyebiter- Attack and blind one opponent

You don't see anything to hide the guards in, so you just shove them off to the side and run to the door. You're about to open it when the door across the hall opens, revealing a man with a torch. He sees you, screams, and draws a sword. From behind him you hear rustling noises, as though other people are awakening. There's also a little commotion from the door you were going to open, but not from so many people. Do what?

You could try it, I guess, but since there are people behind him... I'd have recommended a thieves' kit, partially for the smoke ball, but too late for that. So... want to try it (the thing you said)? (Updates may be sparse... I got some new games)

Alright. Oh, by the way, I changed the Focus/proficiency system. You don't have to know the exact effects (you may notice them anyway) but basically it's worse for you now, better for you later in the Combat focus, and probably better for you in all of the others.

You then turn, throw open the door, and run in. A naked man is standing and holding a large steel broadsword and shield. What you presume to be an also naked woman is cowering under the covers in bed, only her long hair flowing out from the sheets. More people are coming from the room behind the guy you stabbed. There's a huge commotion.
