Actually, you already have a flute (as Nadista pointed out.) You can sell it for half price and buy a better one if you want. You can have more than one instrument on you at once if you want (some of the larger ones are less portable and harder to hide, for example) but you can't do any reasonable Snowsong without one. You can kind of hum/whistle, but it completely sucks... you don't want to have to do that. And you're gonna stay with the thieves' tools you have? You can if you want, but you might want a better kit. Up to you.

You enter Eysa's office and wait as she helps two other people, with both pausing to rummage around beneath and behind her desk in massive cabinets full of papers, ordered in some fashion that you can't begin to comprehend-- certainly not alphabetically. When the second person leaves, you approach her and speak.
You: What do you know about someone named Fjurka?
Eysa: Fjurka? That... doesn't sound familiar. Hold on...
She starts looking around. After a few minutes of searching, in several different sections of the room, she finally pulls out a file with Fjurka's name on it. There's barely any writing. She puzzles over it and looks up after a bit.
Eysa: Not much on her. Says she's a hermit living in the Skondlir Forest, not far from here actually. Same province. Hm... I have rough coordinates of where we last knew she was living.
You: Coordinates?
Eysa: Yeah, I developed a system. It's kind of sketchy but for people who don't live in cities or known areas like mansions or caves, it's better than guessing. I can show you how it works so you can ride or walk, or you can just take these coordinates to the Snowskald on duty and have him or her teleport you. What do you want to do?

K, she gives them to you and directs you to the Snowskald on duty. It's 100 gold to teleport. You can take out loans from the Tong bank, it charges 25% interest the first few missions you go on (so for 100 you'd owe 125 after one mission). The interest increases really fast if you don't pay after a couple missions. You can also store money, they return it with 10% interest per mission. (So storing 1,000 gold and withdrawing it after two missions would get you 1,210.)

Oh. ...right. The others spent all their money shopping, so... I'm used to telling them 'bout the bank now. K.
You approach the Snowskald, a slim young attractive woman with pale blonde hair and give her the coordinates as well as the gold. She raises a lyre and plays a frantic, fast-paced melody. Very soon, you're teleported into the middle of some cold, snowy woods.
Current Mission: Kill Fjurka
You know that the Tong headquarters are in the northern region of Vodefskjal, so even now during the warmer months, seeing snow is no surprise. Do what?
(By the way, I added the option to upgrade your instrument. It's a bit more pricey than selling your old one and buying a better new one, but it means you don't really have to buy a harmonica or something if you want to keep a flute or something.)

Er... lemme explain something now which I guess I never mentioned 'bout Snowsong. There's 9 possible volumes, although you can only play 5 right now. It goes (softest to loudest) Silent (Prof. 10), Softest (Prof. 3), Very Soft, Soft, Normal, Loud, Very Loud, Loudest (Prof. 3), Cacophonous (Prof. 5). You can only play Very Soft, Soft, Normal, Loud, and Very Loud right now, although next level when you gain a Prof. point in Snowsong you'll be able to play Softest and Loudest. Anyway, the louder you play the more effect there is, but it's less concentrated (although the general damage done is greater) and... well... loud. So which volume? (Very Loud would probably shred the place in a little bit, although of course it's loud as hell.)
Oh, and I changed another thing. The levels are the same, but I changed range to quality, which encompasses both range and effectiveness. You can still get it improved for a fee, everything else is the same.
