Ray both of them. Then use Wide Cover to block thug 2s attack(cause +25% evade doesn't seem like a good enough defense for when you would die in 1 hit)

Thug 1 should be dead cause you did damage to him yourself. The ray will finish Thug 2 off.

You win. Night has now completely fallen and the moon is showing. A beam of light strikes out from the moon and hits one of the orb, followed by another until all four orbs are struck. Suddenly the orbs vanish and a Statue of a Knight holding a two handed sword, facing into the ground.

You gain 130XP, 50 from the mission and 80 from the fight, and level up. Leveling up gets better as you get to higher levels.

You have 5 points to split between hp and mp.
You have 1 point to add to physical stats.
You have 3 points to add to magical stats.

You have 1 knowledge point (KP) Knowledge points are used for various things. Spell creation, School advancement, or Improving existing spells.

School advancement costs 1KP to get first level in a school, 2KP to get second level, etc.
Spell Creation varies, depending on power and such, you can also use guild labs to create them for money.
Improving existing spells will generally improve it a couple points in one aspect per KP, although there's a cap depending on your school level.

You're mission's done, so you can teleport back. You can collect payment from albikke when you get back.

You've lived in the area for awhile, so you know some of the surroundings. The only ruins you know of nearby are an old abandoned fort that had a couple mages stationed there before it was abandonded (that's northeast) and a small tower to the west.

You make it to the fort without encounter (it's a pretty civilized area for the most part) The castle is old and in disrepair, there's parts of the wall that have crumbled into dust. The gate is down but half of it fell off, so you can enter without problems. Inside the fort You can see four buildings. One's a large square building in the center, there's two smaller buildings to the size and there's a long rectangular building on the left side. These buildings seem to be pretty good condition compared to the outer walls. You see no signs of life within the courtyard of the fort.

So now what?
