You track the person by the screams and stab away with a dart. The screams cease, but the door crashes open, revealing several angry shouting men in various states of dress, all holding broadswords. The smoke is starting to disperse a little. Do what?

You're pretty sure you've escaped. You hear a tiny popping noise, similar to the one you heard when you first got the blood note, and notice a little flash. Reminded of the note, you take it out. It reads: Place hand onto symbol to teleport back to headquarters. There's a small symbol, a white snowflake with red drops falling from it. Do what?

You gain +150 EXP. +10 for killing his wife, I guess. (Actually, it's just because I want you to level up. I might actually take off EXP sometimes for killing people you aren't supposed to, since you aren't really supposed to, unless it's absolutely necessary or you're caught. In this case, whatever.)

You leveled up. Split 250 between your stats and 200 between HP and MP. Also choose a new move for your Secondary Focus. +1 Proficiency in your Primary Focus.

As you look into the note, eight 100-coin pieces appear. In the lower right hand corner of the paper, in very small but impeccably neat print, is written (1000 gold). You assume this is for your new charge, not the old one. Do what?

Eysa? Okay, but first, you're still short a grappling hook and a rope. 50 gold each, unless you want more rope or some chain instead. You can keep one coil of rope/chain in a kit at a time, the other stuff you'll have to carry separately. (Which I may or may not care about.)

Okay, you head to Eysa's. Someone who doesn't look particularly dangerous leaves the room, and you see that she's having her lunch. You wait outside for her to finish, then head in.

Eysa: Oh, you didn't have to wait.
Oriana: Er... okay. Do you know anything about Gromd Svungheit?
Eysa: Probably. Hold on.

She goes and digs around in her extensive file library, finding the paper pretty quickly. She takes it out and scans it.

Eysa: Innkeeper out by West Bay. Runs a tavern along the Prince's Road a little ways south of the city. Place is called the Fox and Hare. Anything else? You can probably get teleported straight to the tavern, though it's not dark yet, or if you wanna check out West Bay feel free. It's a ways south and a little west of here, but since it's on the Prince's Road you'll have no trouble once you reach the road, which is just a day's ride, three days' walk from here. Probably a week along the Road. Anything else you want?
