Fine, we'll just walk there.

You all head out to the north on foot. After a few hours of travel some monsters (If you would call them that...) appear and swarm around you.

You head into the town; its fairly large, having many shops and other buildings. However, it seems to be completely deserted from the outside.

[Prince Toad]

Rensai (shouting): We're allies, we're from (whatever country we're from), we're going to help you defend the town! Don't attack!

Then we'll enter the town and look around for someone to talk to or someplace to go.

No answer from the town.

You look around the town for anything. There are a few shops like the ones from before, as well as several buildings. Your group speaks up.

Cherry: This is kind of creepy. Where is everyone?
Karr: I'm guessing the lack of people has something to do with our mission... but we don't have any clues as to what.
Real: We always could ask him.
Rensai: Eh? What are you talking about?

You turn your head to where Real is pointing. Theres a man in armor standing by a building looking around.

[Prince Toad]

Rensai: Hail! Um... do you know what happened in this town?

He looks at you and replies.

Guy: Well, the people in this town were mostly all captured by Keln, a country to the north. They hired a group of mercenaries and sent a small group to attack the town. Since it's fairly small and most people aren't trained to fight it fell pretty easily. Most of the soldiers left already. Well, want to know anything else?

[Prince Toad]

Rensai: Keln, eh? Sounds vaguely familiar... well, whatever. Do you know where the soldiers went? We're here with the army, we're supposed to defend the town. I suppose rescuing the people would count as doing that.
