Of the people you talk to, one has information about the guy. Apparently Conn is a mercenary who's just begun to get a little bit famous. He's not too skilled, but his sword appears to have some enchantment on it that makes him more powerful. She asks if you've got a note on him, and you say yes. She nods and tells you that she'd like to get her hands on that sword, if possible-- she'll beat the shop's price. She informs you that her name is Brulla the Worthy, so when you get back, if you bring the sword and find her, she'll pay you handsomely. She remembers hearing his name in Toskkol two days ago, so he may still be there, or if not, he's probably nearby. You don't know where that is, so you ask her. She says it's about two weeks' worth of travel on a horse, and she can give you directions if you need them.
(That's the benefit of asking around instead of going to Eysa. The savant is more reliable, but occasionally something good like this will come up that Eysa wouldn't do.)
Do what?

WEAPONS (Weapon: Stat + #/Price/notes) Note that if it says Agility + 50, it doesn't mean that the weapon deals your Agility + 50. It means Agility is the stat used for it, and 50 is added to the usual damage dealt. The actual number used depends on whether Combat is your Primary Focus, your Secondary Focus, or you don't have it as a Focus, and also at your Proficiency Level in Combat if you do have it as a Focus. (If you didn't quite get all that, ignore it.)
Iron Dagger: Agility + 100/50 gold/may be thrown
Steel Dagger: Agility + 200/200 gold/may be thrown
Iron Longsword: Force + 100/100 gold
Steel Longsword: Force + 200/250 gold
Iron Darts (25): Agility/25 gold/thrown
Steel Darts (25): Agility + 100/100 gold/thrown
Light Crossbow: Agility, slow/100 gold/crossbow
Medium Crossbow: Agility + 100, slow/300 gold/crossbow
Iron Bolts (20): + 100 /25 gold/for use with crossbow
Steel Bolts (20): + 250/100 gold/for use with crossbow

575 gold. It is, but you need a crossbow to use bolts.
You do a lot of combat, I'd buy a Steel Longsword. You can get the other stuff if you want.
Also, you bought Steel Darts already, so there's a distance option if you need it. I guess having a crossbow would make you more versatile, but there's the cost to consider. I dunno.
Whatcha doing?

You don't have enough money. Even if you sold your Iron Longsword it'd still cost 600. And besides, this place is a long way away. You probably wanna be teleported, or at the very least rent a horse. You can, of course, take a loan if you want. If you pay it back as soon as you get back, the rate's 25% interest. Then it shoots up sharply. You'll have more than enough money when you get back, but you'll have to pay.
I recommend saving/taking out enough for teleportation, unless you wanna take a really long time getting there.

^Sorry, man. I'm debating whether to continue this. My forum energies are sort of being regrouped, and you're the only one who was doing this one anyway. I suppose I'll update later tonight, and I might keep it going since updating for one is easier than for more, but well... ya know, it's also not quite as inspiring. Heh. I will update later tonight though, promise.

Okay. You pay the 100 gold and get teleported to Toskkol. As usual, the "warp point" is an abandoned old shack. There's a low window that you can climb up to. Looking out, you see the city gates nearby, so you suppose you're near the edge of town. There doesn't appear to be a lot of business going on around here. You think it's the afternoon. There's a few doors you can go out-- a main and three sides-- or you could crawl out a window, if you believe it's necessary. Do what?

Alright. You walk out. You're in a poorer district of town, near the gates. There's a few people lounging around, most in alleys or corners. The street ahead of you is only traversed by a scant few, but they seem more trustworthy than those in the shadows. Do what?
