Sorry for dissappearing. Been out most of the week trying to find a damn job and haven't felt like posting. I'll update everything sometime tomorrow.

Alright cool, I was worried it was the end of activity in the roleplaying forum.

Hopefully I can have my topic up by the end of next week to hopefully generate some interest as well.

I'll continue Guardians, but I think I'm gonna close and reopen a different battleclub. The two actions and movement thing seems kind of awkward and I don't really like the balance of the classes. That fine with you?

Yeah I don't mind if you make a new battleclub if you aren't crazy about this one.

Well I finally found a job. Pizza delivery again woo. Well, now that I'm no longer worried about getting kicked out (my parents started saying I have to get a job or move out. So updating here wasn't exactly my priority.) I only feel like running one topic, and battleclub types are simpler so I'm just gonna run one of those, instead of running Guardians and a battleclub. So if you're still interested in running your topic I'm in. If not, I probably won't run anything.

I'm gonna try to make the battleclub a bit different than normal, but not too complicated.

So far, my idea is basically a sort of MMA league based around fighting with magic and medieval weaponry. The fighting system loosely based off The Riddle of Steel table top rpg (if you've ever heard of that). I'm writing up the basics of the fighting system and than planning on letting you create your own fighting style using those basics. Instead of pure HP and number crunching, you basically pick what action you take and your opponent picks how he reacts. Than the winner of the exchange gets to make the next action and the opponent reacts. Rounds are fought in sets of two exchanges, and you've got a certain amount of Action Points that has to last both exchanges. So the system will basically revolve around managing your AP and picking the right actions to counter your opponent and try and keep control of the fight. Winner will be decided by getting a number of successful hits in (one critical hit decides the fight, while it takes three normal or five minor successes).

How does that sound? I'm trying to write it up without being too complicated or bloated. It may take a few days though.

Well its a different battle style from what I have been used to so it may take little while to understand it but it sounds interesting.

Yeah I know. Classic HP can be a lot fun, but I'm always wanting something a bit different. The Riddle of a steel is a fun system for fights. Its actuallly pretty deadly and pretty realistic in the way it portrays a fight. I'm not taking the exact system or character creation, but the two exchange thing is the basic idea of TROS.

I would just like to note that I am up for anything, as long as it isn't very heavy in Role Playing, I haven't the time for that now :/

On second thought, I can't figure out how to do this idea right without being too absurdly complex for a message board rpg. It doesn't seem worth it. Any progress on your rpg?

I'm out of ideas at the moment but I'm still up for running something if I can figure out a good rpg to run.

Well my war RPG isn't officially complete, but there's a lot of features such as items and maps that can always be made while the RPG is up and running. I'll try to launch it sometime soon.
