I saw the Blue Moon tonight. The full moon always looks spectacular coming up!!

Do you check out the full moon?

If not, look at this one as the next full moon is (something like) 6 years away!!

...blue moon ice cream is still a mystery. I thought I was onto something with the Cow Tales, but blue moon doesn't have that demi-saltiness of caramel.

I don't always check out the full moon, but we got a nice view of the supermoon tonight. :)

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

...so I figured out blue moon ice cream. I knew I would eventually, but it's still gratifying.

It's more-or-less marzipan. I suppose I should have known earlier on, but, well, German cookies are a drag ("we have gingersnaps and marzipan, and...um...did we mention the gingersnaps?") Like, there's different recipes of blue moon, but in the end it all comes down to marzipan.

...marzipan sucks. Almonds provide texture and mild flavour, and it's not at all bad, but, like, if you're the kind of person who loves marzipan, a Cherry Jell-O cup would probably give you multiples.

Blue moon is only nice because it's ice cream. Is there a place that sells halvah ice cream? That sounds like it'd be unbelievable.

...I think I'd like savoury ice cream, but only because mom and I found a jar of Ma Baensch's creamed pickled herring in the freezer when we were cleaning out grandma's house and...like, we sat and shared the jar, scooping bits out and just talking about mom's feelings. Pickled herring-flavoured ice cream or froyo or frozen custard sounds perfect for sad times. Go ahead and cry into it---------you can't make it any saltier.
