Solar Eclipse April 2023

How far would you travel to be in the path of totality for a solar eclipse?
There's a full solar eclipse this coming April. I've looked into how to get up north to see my first total eclipse by standing in the path of totality. Unfortunately, it's just not going to work...
13.5 hour drive to the closest town (Exmouth)
One road in/out
50k people expected to descend on this area
Airfares and car hire are expensive
Cost to stay anywhere is horrendous (accommodation prices tripled)
I imagine food/water/essentials will also rise in price
It's hot (ugh)
So... I'm going to Sydney in 2028. The entire city will be in the path of totality!!!
